Event | Sinbrilee | Bacchanal
Characters: Any and all!
Date: August 24 - 30th
Location: Sinbrilee
Situation: An ancient festival of an ancient city, all are welcome at the Bacchanal!
Warnings/Rating: Please label threads as appropriate.
Death and destruction cannot curtail the single most important festival celebrated by the denizens of Sinbrilee: The Bacchanal! The ghosts in and about the city have begun to gossip about high fashion and festivities, sending any that inquire to the Amphitheatre -- a grand, circular structure nestled in the west side of the city.
This structure bore the fall of Sinbrilee and the wear of time with dignity, having lost handfuls of archways and one long stretch of wall to crumbling decay. Despite this, it is obvious that the amphitheatre once hosted many a display and every more festivities than the mind can grasp. This was their solace and safety; here is where the people of Sinbrilee came to find the mind's escape from all that threatened them and their great turtle.
Ghosts have been busy throughout the week, clearing paths through debris and hanging great cloth banners of soft blues and greens to disguise the more blatant signs of its decline. Many hundreds of them shimmer and slid through the area, providing for tables upon tables of food, offering drink, and overseeing competition of sport and skill (some even denying death's non-corporeal curse to enter).
Here, well... Here is where the party begins!

I am partially sorry for this tag.
You!
[And now Colby has an angry-looking woman in a green dress storming up to him and his spot on a couch.
Or rather, up to Poyo.]
You should should feel ashamed of yourself, for what you did to that poor man! You're supposed to be a government official and that's the very first thing you do when you arrive? How is that not an abuse of power?
[Someone checked the rest of the replies to that post after treating Scott. She's practically disappointed in the murderous cyborg rooster. The government might screw up from time to time, but the people who work for it should know better when they do something wrong, and that expectation holds even for a cyborg rooster.]
Showing up here wasn't very pleasant for anyone else, but we didn't go and attack people at random. Especially when they are nice enough that they might have helped you if you were polite. You're clearly more than intelligent enough to be aware of that, if you followed him back!
How would you feel if something showed up and started to attack you just because it could, hm? Just because you can do something like that, doesn't mean you should! Everyone deserves basic consideration because it's common decency to treat others as you'd like to be treated.
[She can keep going, too.]

[Nope. It's too late. Tony's feeble attempt at piping up is no match for Bianca's Motherly Fury.]
Um.
[He's not even the one who's at fault here and he feels guilty.]
no subject
Poyo had been eating when Bianca stormed up, and he hadn't actually been paying attention to her at the beginnign of her rant, but when it became clear the anger was geared at him he immediately becomes defensive, looking directly at her, chest puffed as he couldn't decide what weapon to pull out of his mechanical wing. However, the more the angry woman continues to berate him, the less appealin the idea of retaliation was. Much like how people have come to know that fighting against him was futile, so too did he (reluctantly) concede that the same was true with this woman. Sure, he could defeat her physically with ease, but her spirit would haunt him until the end of days. And so he did the most strategically sound move... and lowered his head in the way that humans convey as remorse.
As for Colby, he's too busy staring stunned at this woman's proverbial balls to say that to his homicidal rooster partner to say anything.]

And you!
What sort of partner are you? You spent longer correcting or lambasting people from your console than actually trying to find Poyo! What sort of partnership is that when you show more concern for what other people say than for your partner?
[The rooster is absolved of guilt by at least appearing to feel bad for what he did, Colby. Are you smart enough to take the same route?]
no subject
Colby throws his hands up in the air.]
Whoa whoa whoa hold up lady! Check your facts, I asked that guy for Poyo back and he wouldn't tell me where he lived. I only replied to those people while I was waiting for him to finally cough it up! I'm not a "superhero," I couldn't check the whole fucking turtle to find him!
Check the time stamps, I stopped replying as soon as I found out where he was.
no subject
Then you would've arrived either shortly before or after I did because I almost immediately got his address.
no subject
Poyo doesn't seem surprised but shakes his head anyway.]

Either way! Poyo's back and he's not going to go after anybody. [...That doesn't piss him off first.]
