[open] I love the way your face lights up
Characters: Stephanie Brown and YOU!
Date: All November, severly backdated because I was on hiatus
Location: Mostly the mainland, but Keeliai for a bit as well
Situation: Adventures
Warnings/Rating: Likely violence, mentions of injures, will update as necessary
Notes: There are threadstarters up for your general tagging needs! If anyone would like something more specific, or if you'd like to sort anything else out, feel free to contact me. Prose or actionspam is fine! Just in case there's any confusion, she'll mostly be in civvies while on the mainland, though Batgirl flavour is available upon request.
When the rumours of a mainland first reach her ears, Steph isn't sure she believes it. God knows why, considering all the other strange things she's encountered, not only on Tue Vishan, but in life in general. Still, it comes as something of a surprise, but as the kedan she encounters during the day began to discuss it more and more, she can only accept that it's real.
Of course that means she has to go investigate.
It's not even a Bat thing, not really, she's always been too curious for her own good, and there's no way she's missing out on the opportunity to discover more about this place. She's given up on the Emperor supplying any information, but that doesn't mean they can't figure things out themselves.
A few of the regulars at her jobs come asking for favours, having guessed that one of the Foreigners will be making a trip out. They offer to pay her, or to give something in return should she find what they're looking for, but none of them are really surprised when she turns them down. She'll look for them, but she won't accept payment.
By the time the first boats start leaving for the mainland, she's almost eager to go. Not only to find answers, but it'll be - freeing, to get away from people for a while. She has more friends in Keeliai than she ever did back home, not to mention the fact she's spending more time with the Bats - with her family? the word still doesn't feel quite right - than she ever has before. And it's not a bad thing, but she could use a break from people; she's used to working alone.
And maybe she can sort out everything with Brandon and Tommy and Cass, because she's really not sure what the fuck is going on in her head.
So she asks for time off from work, packs a bag, and heads out.
