Fortunately for everyone involved, Gene's picked one of Raine's off-days, and Solomon has his own business; it's Raine who answers the door, looking slightly bemused. She's had a surprising number of visitors lately, and while she does like Gene, she has no idea what he might need.

She blinks at him for a moment, then steps back, leaving him room to come in. "Gene. Is everything all right?" she asks, assuming -- not unfoundedly -- that a friend on her doorstep without prior arrangement may be cause for alarm.
