February Catch-All
Characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU!
Date: All of February
Location: Keeliai and Tavimbi
Situation: Getting to know you and Landfall!
Warnings/Rating: None that I can think of?
Obi-Wan is still somewhat adjusting to things here on Keeliai. So the fact that the giant turtle makes landfall on a continent is surprising and piques his curiosity.
He can be found either wandering around the streets of Keeliai or Tavimbi. Willing to talk to just about anybody. Especially the Kedan and the Tavimbi natives.
Upon sensing a power that is not unlike the Force within Tavimbi, which he comes to know as the Xunutane, he will make checking that out his highest priority.
Feel free to find him just about anywhere!

Artery Level | Early February | let me know if this isn't okay!
"I'd just like to see the crystal," Skulduggery tries to explain - not for the first time - to the three Dexedi workers barring his path. "I don't want to touch it. I don't want to fiddle with it. I don't want to interrupt whatever sensitive work might be going on down here."
Skulduggery's facade, which worked so well thus far in keeping him relatively unbothered, doesn't seem to be making a difference anymore. He's got about ten minutes before he has to take it down, so in the interests of avoiding whatever international incident might result from taking it down in front of Tavimbian natives, Skulduggery has about ten minutes left to try and convince them he isn't a threat. He could probably use some help.

"Is there a problem here?"

It was along one of those journeys that Cain ran into someone he had been meaning to look for in the first place. He had been meaning to be more proactive in the search to return the borrowed property, but his head was still just a bit mixed from everything that had happened recently. That was his excuse and he was sticking to it.
Regardless, there was the guy and here was Cain, still with his radio. Catching up to him on the roads of Keeliai, he tapped him on the shoulder before stepping up alongside him. "Hi," he said cheerily.
no subject
"Well, hello again."
He certainly remembers this man from the fire.
no subject
"You look well," he said, as if Obi-Wan's health was the one that had been in question. Cain was certainly not wanting for energy or vitality. "Turtle been treating you all right?"
no subject
"Oh, yes. It's nice to actually be in friendly territory again."
Things had been rough back home too, after all.

She catches up to him, curious.
"Hey, you were at the college when Tony's lab exploded," Pepper says by way of introduction. "Weren't you?"
no subject
"That's right, I was. And who might you be?"

He couldn't help a bit of a chuckle at her observation. The Foreigners did seem like a close knit group.
"You've got me. And I'm certainly glad to hear that."

Post Radio call | Just outside the Welcome Center
Tucking the broadcast device into her helmet that she holds against her hip as she steps away from the wall to begin walking, she then fishes out one of the maps to review the path she needs to take to the Midnight Hotel. It would have to do for tonight with the darkness and cold hurrying her towards the only option referenced to her. If it proved unappealing as temporary lodging, she could start to search for a new location to stay while attempting to secure a job.
Of course, luck seems to steer away from her as the wind snatches that map out of her single hand and tosses it down the street ahead of her. Blue eyes tracking the paper, she groans as she urges her tired feet faster over the ground and hurries after the paper in an attempt to catch it.

Her map would then suddenly freeze in midair, allowing her to catch up with it and reclaim it. "I believe that belongs to you?" This coming from the man whose arm is outstretched, using the Force to keep her map in place. Though as he draws near he can see all is not well. That flight suit certainly wouldn't hold up well against this cold and she looks more than chilled.
"Are you alright?"
no subject
But it might take one to be distracted by it.
There is a noticeable delay in which Abigail is looking between the map and the stranger, and when she does finally move to the map, she moves more beside it than directly in front of it. Reaching a hand up slowly, as though testing the air around it, she finally does reclaim her map and draws it in against her upper abdomen to hold so as not to waste his effort to save it for her.
"Thank you," recovering some social grace she starts, but shakes her head dismissively as she looks away briefly when asked if she is alright, "Just new here." The map alone could tell him that much.
In truth, Abigail is far from alright. Bordering on exhaustion, she is a bundle of nerves barely held together, frayed from anxiety and fear, and burdened with a sense of loss and helplessness.

Somewhere around Keeliai | after learning that Obi-Wan is here
So he scoured the streets and concentrated on the Force. On Obi-Wan's presense. It had to be somewhere. Moving past various buildings and people, he felt lost. Both physically and emotionally. Being ripped away from everything he knew was an experience in itself and he was not one to cope very well.
Again that is why he needed to find Obi-Wan.
Finally growing frustrated with his efforts, he takes to the rooftops of some buildings. And from there he -- is that him? He eyed a figure who looked suspiciously like Obi-Wan. Beard. Robe. All the usual things.
He kept to the rooftops as he drew close. Only dropping over the edge when he was right overhead so that he'd land on the ground right next to the Jedi Master. Because popping up out of nowhere is what he does.
"You don't know how long I've been looking for you."

"Anakin! Stars alive, don't scare me like that."
Wait.
"Anakin? ... You're alive and you're... whole."
Speaking of things that normally wouldn't come out of his mouth...
no subject
"What? Of course I am. Did you expect something to have eaten me, Master? I thought you knew me better than that," he said and then gestured around him.
"Besides I am usually the one rescuing you."

Neither food nor drink nor fabric accessories were of any great importance to her. She didn't eat. She didn't drink. She certainly had no need for covering, as she felt neither cold nor heat, even at extreme temperatures. What she did have need for, unfortunately, was parts. Both for herself and her systems, as well as those in her lab over on Stark Industries.
Even more unfortunately...despite the fact that it had been some time since she'd last been around...the vendors on the streets knew this fact as well.
"I find that price to be unacceptable." Aya's brows furrowed as she reacted to the quoted estimate. Behind the counter, the vendor was smirking. "It is not within your favor to leave your regular customers dissatisfied. Do not think you are the only individual in this sector with parts that I may utilize to my personal benefit."

Having shut himself in one of the temples for a few days had given him plenty of time to think. About a lot of things. Which brings him to the market, also searching out bits of technology. But as he's looking, he hears some displeased comments nearby. Venturing closer, he can see that the source is a foreigner he hasn't yet met. A droid? And yet... he could sense something from her?
"Is there a problem here?" Obi-Wan asks as he comes up next to Aya, looking between her and the vendor.
no subject
And a certain spark, deep down, that one such as Obi-Wan would be able to sense. The spark of Life...whether or not it was recognized for what it was.
"That remains to be seen."
His approach was friendly, so she did not immediately brace herself. Continuing to stare at the vendor, who was growing less and less confident by the moment.
"Though I would greatly appreciate to have my transactions for the day end here and now, if this individual is not willing to sell at a fair and honest price, I will be forced to take my business elsewhere at this time. And be certain to let all my acquaintances at Stark Industries be aware of the situation."

Returning to the hotel, Obi-Wan entered their room to find a disaster. Standing in the doorway, he looked around at the broken furniture.
"What in the blazes happened here?"
no subject
"Shoddy craftsmanship?," he said very quickly and being pretty much his only defense.
While Obi-Wan was gone he had much time to think, though he still was not over it all. Outwardly he is calm, but inside a storm of turmoil twisted and raged. He had more questions, more answers he desperately wanted to know. But he couldn't even bring himself to hunt down the older Jedi. He just stayed confined to himself. Lost and alone.
no subject
"Good to see you haven't been infected," he says with some sarcasm while walking into the room. Bending down, he looks over the broken table with a sigh. It would have to be replaced.
Standing up again and looking around, Obi-Wan finds a place to sit on something that isn't demolished. "Though I suppose this is partly my fault. I'm sorry for leaving you like that."

"... Following the flow or not..." is really the question. It's habit, to voice his thoughts, even if he doesn't exactly want input.
So some odd guy with far too much white hair absently staring at - or through? - the Dexedi workers who bar the path.
.. Maybe he could get information off the flow of aer, or mana, or whatever it is that feels similar enough he can manipulate it, without going in?

While Obi-Wan can tell that Duke is the brooding sort that would rather be left alone, that didn't stop him from trying to be helpful. Nor from approaching the man who is obviously a foreigner just as much as he is.
"I take it you're wanting to see the Xunutane."
no subject
"The way everything flows about here is reason enough to want to."
