For Loki (god help us all)

Gene's waiting at the fire fountain for Loki, all decked out in his new winter coat. He likes his coat, even if it's not quite as awesome as his parka. That parka had a lot of good memories attached to it. Solving puzzles, sliding down glaciers with nothing but an ice axe and Stark to rely on should he slip--

--no. Ouch. He decides to cut that train of thought off right there and resume waiting for Loki and not thinking about it. New coat, new stupid wintertime memories. Hell, there are even new Starks. Two of them. Weird.

Stop thinking about it!

"Hey there, honey bear."

And, unsurprisingly, that's spoken by Loki who is sitting in midair on absolutely nothing at all, just out of reach. He's gone entirely old school for his winter gear--he's eschewed getting a coat entirely, instead magicking up a dark fur trimmed cloak that wouldn't look out of place on a Game of Thrones character.

Not that he really needs it in this weather. He's hardly as fragile as the mortals in these kinds of temperatures. It's just particularly comfortable.

And it looks cool, too.

"Wow," Gene drawls, directing his attention to the trickster god, "are you wearing an entire bear on your back, or what?"

Okay, he has to admit that it looks fly as hell but there is no way he's going to admit that to Loki.

"Pff, you're just jealous."

Because clearly this is worth being jealous over. He knows he looks fantastic, Gene, and there's no convincing him otherwise. He's got that whole Jon Snow chic thing going on, and he rocks the look.

[wrathfulkhan]

"As if," he scoffs. Yeah. He is totally jealous.

"Fits with your whole Norse god theme. Did you kill that yourself?"

"Kill it? Nuh uh, waaaay too much work. I just conjured it," Loki gloats happily enough. Seriously, man, killing, skinning, and sewing his own stuff? He's a sorcerer!

[wrathfulkhan]

"See, to me, conjuring something sounds like a lot more work than going out and getting it yourself," Gene says, and steps away from the fountain. "But I guess being a god comes with certain privileges."

[bacondivination]

Loki drops to the ground to walk beside Gene, shrugging. "Godhood has all kinds of perks, but even mortals can figure out the trick to the little things like that. It's pure sorcery."

[wrathfulkhan]

"Not something I've studied." Though he could stand to learn a little more. "So tell me, can anyone pick it up, or do you have to get your Hogwarts letter first?"

[bacondivination]

"Anyone can, but it all depends on the source of power. Some people have the spark of it, others have to look elsewhere." He says this, waving a hand somewhat dismissively. "Pacts with patron gods, selling your soul to demons, using artifacts, you know. The usual."
