[OPEN] Elsa's lettin' it go and ur invited
Characters: Elsa and YOU!
Date: 1/30 and one thread waaay back dated to Kristoff and Anna’s arrival!
Location: Wood Sector’s park.
Situation: venting out frustration by making ice things
Warnings/Rating: none! Spoilers in the Hans thread though
[The cold bites in the air as shapes crystallize around her. Forming, flying, flinging themselves at the sky. She’s experimenting with shapes and even seeing how far she can push and decide the color of her ice. It’s another castle, or building, rather. She’s not rehashing her old design, but taking bits and pieces from places she knows of in faraway lands. There’s a hint of French rococo to the architecture of the palace she builds this time. Though, not without her own flair, of course. Her own Versailles will be filled with hints of snowflakes and jutting icicles, she had always been an artist at heart, she didn’t want to completely copy another person’s work.
Elsa, of course, doesn’t feel the chill at all. She steps and observes every little fractured bit around her with intense scrutiny and thought. From the outside it could look like a dance of sorts, her moving around stepping so carefully in her gown with ease. There’s a grace and elegance to it all.
But there is no creation without frustration, of course. Especially right now. So many things are going on in her mind right now, her current situation, her sister and Kristoff being here.
And Hans.
Her nose wrinkles at the very thought of his sideburns—and her magic is interrupted. A sharp short burst and an intricate snowflake arching suddenly turns into spikes.
She takes a moment to breathe—she needed to clear her emotions, again. She had thought that coming out here and being by herself may help with the tumultuous amounts of feelings she was having, but no. Of course not. It’s never that easy.]
[OOC: If you'd prefer a custom starter somewhere else, please just tell me!]

For Hans - Backdated to 01/05 (also Anna is secretly spying.. also spoilers likely)
This time not in the Fire sector, but Wood. Late at night and secluded. She didn’t want to explain what she was doing with Hans. Never mind that it would possibly start to seem suspicious that she never talked to him or acknowledged his presence.
Unlike their last private meeting, this time Elsa stands proud and tall, looking ready to face any challenge as she waits for Hans to show his head. After all, this time she had people to protect and watch after. This wasn’t just about her any more.]

The wood sector is an odd choice, but he's more than aware of the fact that Anna lives there. He supposes it isn't too strange for Elsa to visit her, but to host a meeting there is setting off all kinds of alarm bells.
Regardless, he has no real reason to wriggle out of the meeting, so he'll trudge on over looking equally proud but not at all interested in her. When he comes across her, he gives her a bland look like she's a big old rock in his path.]
Queen Elsa.

[She's not thrown off by his attitude. Or rather, lack of one. A blank slate is one that is impossible to read, after all.]
I don't suppose I have to tell you what this is about.

Tell me if this is okay!
It's beautiful is what she thinks, and motivated half by curiosity and half by an odd sense of playfulness, she adds a little magic of her own. Marks for light slip through the air, diffusing into a shining, heatless illumination as they seeped into the ice.]
That's... Impressive, your majesty.
Awesome =A=b
She knew this girl meant well, even if she had the idea to teach magic to most anyone who came across her path.]
Thank you. Though I'm afraid I'm not as concentrated as I should be today.
[She presses her lips together and sends a long glance at the spikes of ice ruining the near perfect facade. She'll fix it in a moment, when she's got her wits about her again.
However, she can't help but notice the magic Sabriel has put into her ice as well.]
What was that you did just now?
no subject
Just a light spell- there's no heat in it, so it won't melt anything. [With a gesture, she lets the light intensify a bit, watching as it refracts thought the ice and splits into a rainbow of hues.]
It was actually one of the first spells I ever learned.

so today she's making her way back to her apartment when she notices the chill in the air, and then the structure between the trees. for a moment she's reminded of tora-- but ice, powerful as she is, has never had this kind of scope with her powers. so diana tries to get closer, her eyes wide with a kind of awe.
she's usually not much bothered by changes in the weather, but in the loose clothing she's wearing she can still feel the cold. if she notices the sudden change in the ice-- the spiking mood-- she doesn't show it as she steps forward and lifts a hand in greeting. )
That's beautiful. Are you using the moisture in the air, or...?
no subject
No, not really. [Explaining her powers... also something new. No one back home ever asked questions about how they worked...] I can create ice and snow, even in the middle of summer.
[--Even turn summer into winter.]
Though the cold helps the process a little.
[There's a bit of a shy smile right there.]
no subject
It's very impressive.
( she's always had an appreciation for what others can do-- part of that is necessity; as a leader, she needs to know where and how people will work best. but another side of that is still a genuine wonder at everything the people of many worlds are capable of. everything is always new to her, in some ways. )
I hope you don't mind the intrusion.

In the middle of looking around for the precise source or caster of the sensed magicks, Naugus looks one way and the other, searching with a curious eye. Though his search prevents him from looking where he's going, and especially prevents him from realizing an ice spire has just sprung up in his path. DONK. The wizard smacks into the sparkling structure with an undignified sound. Then drops like a rock into a snowbank a few feet behind Elsa with a soft 'paf' sound. All that's visible of him now is part of his limp tail. Not one of his better flights, not one of his better landings.
no subject
"I'm sorry!" She's not sure if she should step forward or not, still cautious considering her circumstances, "Are you alright?"
no subject
"FINE. I'm f-...augh. Fine. Perfectly all right." Naugus is finally upright, dusting more snow off of his person. Despite his grumpy assurances otherwise, he's already got a bruise forming above one eyebrow from his (kinda comical) collision. He huffs and hisses a few times to himself before finally giving a better look at the girl who's apologizing. Frowning, he looks from her to where he'd fallen from, realizing now he's looking at an ice structure! A building, it seems!
Naugus looks back to the pale woman and points at her construction project. "Did you make that?"

However, that also means that Molly may get caught up in Elsa's building activities, entirely unintentional, of course.
So uh, there may be a tower spiralling up from underneath you Molly. Watch out]
no subject
Well, crap. [There's a squint in the direction of Elsa, and she waves her arms over her head.] Hi, uhm. Help?

Ah, hello. I hope I'm not interrupting but... I wanted to say how amazing that is.
no subject
Not at all. [She pulls some hair out of her face and tries to gain back a bit more composure. Though her previous thoughts are still haunting the back of her mind.] Thank you, it's always nice to hear people enjoy what I can do.
[Mainly... because she really never heard it before from anyone but her sister.]

This is quite beautiful, though his mind instantly leaps to combat applications when he sees that burst of spikes. That seems impolitic to suggest out loud to her. Lovely young ladies don't tend to be interested in that-- which is a pity. The ones that are endear themselves to Miles incredibly.
For now, he waits until she's come to a good stopping point, and then applauds long enough to be polite and announce his presence. It's not insincere applause. He's a small, four-foot-eight form in warm kedan clothes, offering a cordial smile.] That was spectacular. What was it? Ah-- is that rude to ask?
no subject
It's not rude to ask at all. [She'd been open about it after all] I was born with the ability to create ice and snow.
[She says as if there's nothing interesting about that at all.] I hope I'm not disturbing anyone, I just wanted to let off some energy.

This is amazing! I've never seen magic like this before!
no subject
Thank you-- [She offers Leia a smile] You said you had magic in your world, correct? You really don't have anything like this?
[She's still learning about the particular differences between everyone's homes, of course.]

[She ignores everything around her - only keeping an ear listening to the buzz n the turtle, both near and far. Super-hearing had its perks, and its drawbacks. She was never truly in a place of quiet. That's made clear when an errant bit of snow from Elsa decides to befriend Monet. She flicks it off, irritated, and is about to open her mouth to give this nutcase a piece of her mind when she spots some of that architecture. French.]
[Closing her book, she watches, with a mixture of amusement and homesickness, and when Elsa takes a moment to catch her breath, Monet claps for her, politely.]
I find shows are better with an audience.
no subject
I've never really had the pleasure of having an audience before.
[She still had yet to show off her powers to her people back home. The truth had all just been aired out, and the final celebration had been a few days away...]

The sudden appearance of the building wasn't hard to figure out, seeing as the woman responsible for it was in clear sight using moves he'd never seen before, and seeming to pull the ice out of nowhere. Zuko knew bending when he saw it (at least, he certainly thought he did), but this was not like any form of waterbending he'd come across before.
He doesn't even think twice about approaching her while occasionally cutting glances towards the building. ]

A short sigh escapes her lips and then she raises her hands, doing her best to delicately dissolve the spikes before trying to rebuild it into something more pleasing.]
