[OPEN] And when she turned her eyes to me / As deep as any ocean / As sweet as any harmony
Characters: OPEN TO ANY AND ALL SCIENCE BROS
Date: Early-Mid May
Location: Wayne Enterprise & Stark Industries, Keelai editions
Situation: A call to arms of any individual, regardless of prior CR, who either works at one (or both) of the two aforementioned companies...or would like to get in on some of the sweet, sweet technological action.
Warnings/Rating:Talk Nerdy to me Baby I mean probably none to start.
After a recent (albeit slightly distorted) Network Post opening discussion, Aya continued with her research. Mike had offered her a great advantage by sending the virus data, which she immediately set to work analyzing. Carefully. Very carefully. She, herself, was--while alive--still a computer program. Susceptible to possible infection herself. The plausibility of this or another similar virus getting to her was not ignored, and thus, precautions were taken.
There were two locations she had full access to. Wayne Enterprise, and Stark Industries. Her time was equally divided between them: the former, mostly during the day, and the latter, at night. One of the multitude of advantages to not requiring food or sleep. She could continue her work indefinitely.
But she was not alone. There were others on the Turtle who carried similar knowledge. People who could help.
She welcomed the assistance without hesitation, regardless of which company they signed on for.
((ooc: Consider this a sort of OPEN LOG for anybody who would like to work with Aya & company on anything related to the current technology issues in Keelai. Prior discussions are welcome to be handwaved, including invitations to join in the research if you would like your character to be involved. Leave a top-level comment indicating whether they can be found at WAYNE or STARK. Or, heck, both!))

Stark
[After some much-needed rest, and making sure his family - terrible patients all - are taken care of, Don sets out to find the lab Aya had indicated to him. His understanding of Keeliai geography still needs some work, but the map was very clear, and he finds Stark Industries without too much trouble. Once inside, he recalls the floor number he had been told, and from there he locates the correct corner office. He'll be knocking on the door while looking everywhere else. This place is impressive!]

[Case in point: Aya's corner office, which was basically a slightly smaller version of the laboratory downstairs. It was highly unnecessary, as she had repeatedly informed him, but he didn't seem to care. He wanted to give it to her. For some reason, the gift meant far more to him than it did to her, something which Aya could never fully understand...but appreciated nevertheless. It was a rare instance in which her status as an Artificial Intelligence had improved an individual's opinion of her.]
[Aya, herself, had been scanning a serious of holographic data files when she heard the knock. The glow from her eyes faded, and she waved a single hand to dismiss them back into their respective hard drives before turning towards the door, which had been left slightly ajar.]
You may enter.

[Aya is as green in person as she looked on the consoles. Not a human, then.]
[The room is full of fascinating equipment, and also happens to have a great view of Keeliai. Don tries to ignore these things for now, and focus on the person he's come to meet.]
Hi. I'm Donatello.
no subject
Yes, I remember you from our conversations over the Network. Distorted as they were.
And I am Aya. Please...I do believe the proper expression in this situation is make yourself comfortable.
no subject
This is incredible. What are you working on?
[Now, that is. Or ever. Don is interested in all of it.]
no subject
[At the question, Aya repositioned herself into the center of the room. A hand rose, and she first touched the hard drive to her far right, bringing back its connected holographic screen. A serious of complex calculations and schematics appeared before her, outlined in a faint blue-green tinge.]
I have multiple projects going at the moment. This one here is an accumulation of various data I have collected on the barrier surrounding Keelai. Whereas this one--[Tapping a second hard drive, she pulled up two more smaller holographic screens.]--contains my current research on the virus that is affecting our consoles.
no subject
Tell me about the virus first.
no subject
[For all she missed her family, however, she was grateful for making the acquaintances of those who she could converse on such levels. Donatello was quickly proving himself to be among those individuals, and as such, she was pleased to step back and allow him full visual access to the screens.]
I have little but theories at this time. The data you see now was given to me by a familiar acquaintance. It would appear to be affecting only the consoles; technology outside of Keelai is, to our knowledge, untouched.
There is something unique to the consoles that makes them so susceptible.
no subject
Sorry, I'm new here. What's outside of Keeliai? And what other major systems are in the city?
no subject
[She turned to fully face him.]
There are several. Myself, for example.
no subject
... You're not human at all, are you.
no subject
No. I am not. I have never even traveled to Sector 2814, let alone planet Earth.
In fact, before my arrival in Keelai, I had only ever made the acquaintance of a single being from that world.
no subject
So your world is in the same dimenson. Or - a same dimension. [He's already caught on that there are a lot of Earths floating around out there.] Fascinating.

WAYNE
They had the radio, yes, but while they made their best to share as much as they could using it they couldn't hold open conversations or private ones using it. An easy fix, but not something good old Clark Kent could fix and Superman was already too tied to the radio for it to be safe. Luckily, there were people around who were even better at technology than he was.]
Hello? [Knocking at the door, because he's got manners.]
no subject
[Which suited her just fine.]
Hello. [She recognized the individual over the Network, although they did not quite share a personal relationship.] May I be of assistance to you?
no subject
I was hoping you would, yes. My wife and I are the ones in charge of the foreigner radio, and since the network has been so heavily compromised we had been considering making it a two-way communication device, instead of a simple way to share the news.
But we'd need a technological expertise neither of us has.
no subject
I see.
The process should not be difficult. I would simply need to analyze the technology currently used in order to determine the more efficient means of altering.
no subject
So far there haven't been any signs of the big bad M corrupting it, we think the fact that it's foreigner made and not kedan has kept the influence out. ['For now' isn't said, but still hangs heavily in the air.]
no subject
Yes, I have been doing extensive research on the virus that is affecting all our consoles.
Nothing has been definitively discovered just yet, though I have several theories as to why they are uniquely susceptible to "the big bad M"'s influence.
no subject
Maybe others would be able to help. Or, if you do not want to divulge them simply say you're open to theories and brainstorming?
no subject
[To repeat it did not seem necessary, given that she had received responses. However, if there were the slightest probability that someone who might also be of assistance in any way had not heard her declaration but would hear the radio transmission...it was not above considering.]
Those who wish to be of assistance are openly invited here and at Stark Industries for further investigation.
no subject
I would probably not be of any use, technologically speaking, but if any more hands are needed I am a Wayne worker, technically speaking...

Once I am able to allow them to communicate with one another, it should not be difficult to recreate the technology to allow for a gradual increase in lines.
