ENDPLOT | BEFORE THE DAWN
Characters: ALL!
Date: December 1-7, 2014
Location: Under the shell and in the Dreaming
Situation: Malicant’s defeated, but it seems the Foreigners have gotten a little bit stuck ...
Warnings/Rating: Add warnings as needed.
Where are you going?
What did you do?
Can you hear me?
Hello?
At first the Dreaming twists and warps around the Foreigners, radiating with the sort of unheard shriek that causes adults to wake sweating in their beds. The only problem is--they don’t. Something cracks like a thud in the skin and the surroundings of the turtle’s body dissolves, and their environment changes in a heartbeat between blank greyscale and any familiar environment.
Eventually it settles, but something is wrong. Where before the Foreigners had clarity of thought even in the Dreaming while battling Malicant, at first it feels as though their minds are shrouded, groggy with half-sleep. They might find it difficult to realize where they are--that their most familiar environment, surrounding them now, is not because they've been sent home. They’re still Dreaming, and the Dream is subtle, but can be manipulated and can be shared if they remember their comrades strongly enough. More of them converging in one place will help shed that torpor, leaving them to realize what might be happening...
They’re trapped. Every now and then they hear Eva’s voice speaking, and some of them will even see her in person, walking through their Dream with a trail of grey mist in her wake.
Can you hear me?
Follow me.
If you want to go home, follow me.
[OOC: If you’re intending to canon update your character (even if they just want to return home to "check in") OR if your character is departing Tu Vishan for good, please use Eva’s subheading! If you’re not going to canon update but your character will still try to follow Eva, she will vanish into grey mist and they’ll be unable to follow.
The rest of the log is general "mingling" while the characters who choose to remain in Keeliai are trapped together in the Dreaming. They can share details of their battles against Malicant, try to brainstorm a way to escape the Dreaming, anything they want. They will be aware of the passage of time, though they won't have any concrete way of knowing how much, only that it seems like it's much longer than it should be.
Please see this OOC post for additional information regarding timing and posting during this log, or questions. Thank you! ]

OTA
Can you hear me? His eyes immediately darted down to his chest, expecting the Ring even if the voice didn't fit. It wasn't until she spoke again that he started to piece things together--to realize that this was a dream.
Follow me. If you want to go home, follow me.
"Home...," he swallowed, mumbling the word to himself. "To my friends?" Ryou continued to stare down at the diorama in front of him, his vision wobbling as tears brimmed in his eyes. That was right, they finally won, and that meant they could go home. "But I made friends here too, and there's Yin-chan..."
Nobody was going to answer him, so he wasn't sure why he was mumbling to himself. All Ryou could do was heave in a shaking breath and cover his face with his hands as tried to make a decision.
What should he do? If he went back home, he could be reunited with Yugi-tachi and his father. But Bakura would probably be cruel to him again, and he'd be leaving the friends he made here and his "child" behind.
"This sucks," he whined, his arms sinking to the table until he could bury his face into them. There was no connection to Yin here, and he didn't see Zuko or Dante, among others. He couldn't just leave without saying goodbye, and he couldn't leave unless he knew Yin was safe, but what if this was his only chance to go home? Really, it was his own fault for not thinking of clearing this up sooner...but even if he had, it wouldn't be any easier.

"Hey, you weren't in dreaming when this whole mess happened, right?" Dante immediately asked. "Do you have any idea what's going on. I haven't heard a peep from Yin since I got here, and I'm getting kind of worried here."
no subject
"No... I stayed behind, just in case." It felt like an excuse, really. "But I'm as lost as your are. I don't even feel a connection to Yin-chan down here."
As it were, if Dante was worried, it only intensified his own worry. Something he hadn't considered suddenly came to mind. "We would know if something bad happened, right?"
no subject
"But judging by the way our late pain in the ass works? Everyone would know if something bad happened." The last time there had been deaths among the baby turtles, he had made a scene. The fact that things were ambiguous was a good sign.
no subject
"We should be able to figure it out when we get to the surface... Whenever we get out of here." He pursed his lips with a worried look. That might take awhile.
"Are you staying here, Dante?"
no subject
"So I kinda have to worry about how we're getting out of here." He nodded. "But if you were sucked in? This sounds too damn complicated. If you want to leave? I'd suggest you do it."
no subject
If there was anything that Ryou knew, it's how painful it is to lose a family member. Even if he wanted to go home, he couldn't leave just yet.
no subject
"From what I can tell, the whole 'location' thing is a bit screwy, so that might be a bit of an uphill battle. If you don't hear from me, I'm probably lost in whatever the hell this is."
no subject
"I think we should stick together, so we can be sure we both get out of here and find Yin-chan," besides, this was his first time wandering around in Dreaming. He wasn't totally sure what to expect.

"I just need a minute."

Picking it up, he took it over to Dante with a wistful smile and held it up to show him. "These are my friends from back home. I owe them a lot..."
Sorry, it had to be pointed out.
"I'd say helping to save the world makes you square with them, but that didn't stop my friends from saying I owed them money." Ryou, never turn out like Dante. "I don't know. If they show up, you should ask them."
lmfao god... it's true
"I guess it wouldn't hurt," Ryou set the diorama back down. He couldn't take it with him anyway. "Anyway, I'm...," he sucked in a breath and slowly released it. "I'm ready."
