I walk a lonely road
Characters: Vergil, and open to all
Date: 7/6
Location: Around the turtle, heading to the sky district
Situation: Vergil wandering around the turtle after work on his way home.
Warnings/Rating: Nothing yet, will update.
The day had drug on while Vergil worked the counter at the shop he worked at. Of course he never told anyone where he worked, he was sure certain people knew, like Anton if he had ever really wanted to know he seemed to have his ways. Generally Vergil always took a long round about way home just to kill time and to throw off anyone who might tail him. He walked the street not interacting much at all, but always hoping for trouble just as an excuse to cut loose on someone. He only felt alive fighting anymore.
He pulled his coat close around him as a few heavy gusts of wind whipped around him as he walked on. Just taking in the sights. A mountain of power and no motivation to do anything. He knew Nelo Angelo would like him to fix things with Valdis, or go see Aya or even check on Anton, but Vergil fights it and plans to just keep to himself.

And from this alleyway comes a mutant turtle, nearly five feet in height.
Or really, in this case it should be length, seeing as he's sliding to a stop nearly face down on the ground. Almost as if he face-planted on the ground rather than sticking the landing as he was expecting to.
"....ow."

"Doctor Don?" He asked in a confused tone, that was what Donatello told him to call him a few months.
no subject
"Not so much, no. cripesthatsucked."

Mike isn't large, but he's pretty physically dense for someone his size.
"Thanks. I'm Mike, not Don. He's uh...we're family."
no subject
"A pleasure, I'm Vergil." He responded. "Brothers?" He inquired, just an idea given they were clearly of the same race, and given his twin, Dante had been here when he had arrived he figured it was the same idea.
no subject
"Sometimes. It...depends and is really confusing. Or it...it was. Anyway, it's nice to meet you, Vergil, and thanks for the hand up."
no subject
"A complicated situation?" He questioned having a little but of an idea with as strange as the turtle could be. "It is no problem at all."
no subject
"The Don you know? Wasn't my brother Donatello, but another universe's version of Donatello. Who is way shorter, and not so much into purple."
no subject
"Knew, sadly. I have not seen him since I was awakened. He helped me when I was not quite myself. I owed him a debt." Vergil hated to be in debt to people namely when two of those he owed for helping him were gone it seemed, "I understand the situation, as odd as that may be. My twin was here when I arrived, Dante is gone now, but last I saw him he looked much older than I. And I was the older of us." That 12 minutes counts.
no subject
Depending on the day he's glad about that, and then...the exact opposite of that.
"But your brother went home too, huh?"
no subject
he nodded after a moment. "Yes, at least that is what I am told. I have to ask, what were you doing to end up here?" He finally realized the other must have fallen.
no subject
"And...sorry for your loss too. It, it sucks. There's just no getting around it."
Then comes the question as to what it was he was doing when he faceplanted.
"You mean, when I faceplanted pretty spectacularly?" Mike laughs. "Roof run."
no subject
Vergil winced a bit after Mike explained "Oh that had to hurt, its been a long time since Ive had a slip like that." He waited a second before adding. "I am a demon hunter." A job he had not done in ages, but with Dante gone someone should claim it.

Beat.
Beat plus one.
Beat plus two.
"For serious? You hunt actual demons."
It's not that he doubts you, it's just that he might be a bit concussed and he's not entirely trusting his ears right now.
no subject
He nodded when the question was asked. "Yes, real demons. My world is crawling with them."

Thats so beautiful
Re: Thats so beautiful
"So...how exactly does one kill a demon? Silver bullets? Holy water? Potato gun?"
no subject
"Well, the first two would work, I suppose, but I've never tried silver bullets myself... and a potato gun just sounds silly. We generally use brute strength and special weapons called devil arms."
no subject
He made the guy laugh, it was all downhill from here!
But then his brow furrows at the mention of Devil Arms.
"Those aren't going to be nearly as entertaining in real life as they are in my head, are they? The Devil Arms, I mean."
no subject
"Likely not, their weapons forged from demon souls in the moment of their death. But, I have seen some funny looking arms on some ugly demons." He tried... he's not good at humor.
no subject
"Funny Ha-Ha? Or Funny Oh God I'm Scarred For Life What Is That Thing?"
Once he knows he can make you smile, he never lets go.
no subject
no subject
"You really shouldn't say stuff like that, man. That's just...begging for the universe to call your bluff," he says even as he takes a half-step back.
no subject
no subject
"Nah, not really. Just...running.
...
I'm not keeping you from like, demon hunting, am I?"

Blink-Blink.
"Wait...you....you're half-demon? But doesn't...I...huh."
no subject
no subject
"So like...doesn't killing your own kind, kind of make Thanksgiving awkward?"
