Our Weapons are Love, Justice, and... (February Catch-All)

Characters: Yuri Lowell and You!
Date: All of February
Location: Keeliai and Tavimbi
Situation: LANDFALL and Yuri being a dumb.
Warnings/Rating: Violence and possible blood?

A. - Open to All
The Jagaiz games are the best thing that have happened to Yuri since he arrived in this crazy world. Aside from his girlfriend of course. As soon as he'd heard about them he immediately went to check it out, and not long after, enrolled in fights.

Lots of fights.

Like nearly battling every day, several times a day if he can manage it. Though at some point he ends up going less frequently after said girlfriend gives him a hard time about it. He might just be a little bit of a fighting addict.

He'll win some and lose some. Yuri will take on anybody. The more challenging the better. Bring it!

B. - Healer's Guild
Along with all the fighting comes injuries. Even though they patch him up somewhat over at the ring, Yuri will be making frequent stops at he healer's guild. Just so he can go back and fight some more the next day.

Since he's used to healing artes, he'll mostly be seeking out Raine.

Might be a gash one day, some bruised ribs another, or a broken arm for the sixth time?

REFILL HIS HP PLZ RAINE.

C. - Anything else!
Open to just about anything! Need Brave Vesperia to do a job? He'll get you taken care of. They could use some more guild members too.

Casey had been having no particular luck in Hatal themself. Jagaiz was completely out of the question, and there was a certain amount of slowly-boiling anger at the class and species division so prevalent in the society. Even with all of that aside, there was still the matter of the rakenga being hunted solely for food. Put it all together, and Tavimbi wasn't the most encouraging of places for Casey to be staying or hanging out in. There was still the allure of someplace new, but it was tempered and cautious.

Traveling down the causeway level, it was easy to get lost. Although none of the species were quite like what Casey had back home, it certainly felt more homey than the turtle itself with a distinct humanoid-only feel to it. It made it easier to blend while they considered what their options were. It also made spotting another humanoid remarkably easy, and Casey perked up when they noticed someone else on their level passing by.

"Oh—" They paused, then moved forward to make pace and walk alongside the other human. "Yuri, right?"

At getting a better look, Casey grew fairly concerned. Those weren't pretty-looking marks, even if they weren't in any state of danger judging by the color, and it seemed odd to just be acting like nothing had happened. Or maybe nothing really had happened and Casey was worrying over nothing.

"That's right, and it has. Been a while. Are you all right?" they asked, tone erring toward unsure whether they should even ask or not.

That didn't make it better at all. Casey hated seeing people injured and the source of it never really changed that opinion; it was a natural sentient reaction, they figured, even if some were better at ignoring it than others. Casey was definitely not one of those people.

"Kicked... wait—were you fighting?" they asked. "In those rings people keep talking about?"

Casey wasn't too sure either way. There were benefits to having ways to release energy without any danger of casualties, but their own interests were definitely not in watching people fight for entertainment...

Humming a bit in discontent, Casey shook their head. "It's just not something I've thought about since getting here. You fight?"

Casey nodded for that information. "Right..." There wasn't a whole lot they could say. Some people were better at the physical than the mental or otherwise and there wasn't any reason to condemn that. It was their life and someone needed to do it. It didn't preclude intelligence or anything of the sort; that was part of the misconception about species different from humanoids that had led to terrible things in the past, anyway.

"So this is kind of like a playground for you?" they asked. They had heard that the fights were distinctly nonlethal. Maybe it wasn't so bad?
