The southern port city of Hatal is used to getting its fair share of visitors, so after the initial surprise of having a continent-sized turtle washing ashore and parking there like it's going to be a while, the Tavimbians recover with admirable poise and begin processing the new arrivals through their customs procedure. After providing a basic summary of their informátion (age, species, duration of tenure on Tu Vishan, and list of "potentially disruptive abilities") they'll be issued a pass stamp, which they must keep on their person while in Hatal. It's made of a brassy metal, a little larger than a credit card, and inscribed with their information, their date of arrival, and whether they've had any run-ins with the laws in Tavimbi (it will be stamped accordingly by the authorities if such happens.)

Once that's all taken care of, visitors will be welcomed to Hatal!

OOC: There are starters in the comments for various areas of Hatal, or you can use the rest of the post for anything on Tavimbi which doesn't fit under those headings.

Stopping to talk wasn't what Junior really did. In person, Rue would notice that he had a much larger propensity for making vague, wordlike sounds and gesturing to try and get a point across than really grasping the complexity of conversation. Not to say he didn't talk, he just put his whole body into it sometimes. He was also rather a gangly man, toned muscle hidden under casual clothes, and he walked with confidence.

It didn't stop basically any good salesman on the side of the Causeway from seeing him as easy prey and trying to lead him astray. As Junior was trying to disentangle himself yet again, Rue called out. "Ah, there, you see, I have to—okay bye," he said, stepping away almost warily before trotting over to catch up to Rue.

"Sorry. I keep forgetting I have some kind of cosmic pick on me sign on my back," he joked with a dip of his head.

"No trouble," Rue purred, casually slipping an arm through Junior's as the taller man caught back up. Personal space? What's personal space? "Rue" had a tendency to act as though it was his world and everyone else was just fortunate enough to live in it with him. "I'll simply have to accept the fact that everyone wants to get their hands on my date, and make sure they realize who they're dealing with." Rue's tone never slipped from his usual one of lazy amusement.

"Now then, darling, where shall we start? Have you eaten yet? If we could manage to find a café with a decent table, we could see what sort of refreshment they have to offer here and watch the people from a safer distance."

Junior shifted easily to allow the touch. He wasn't one to be against it and even welcomed it to a degree. Even if his heart was very solely the property of one Felix Bakar (whether the other man was aware of it or not), that didn't mean he was incapable of enjoying the company of other intriguing men and Rue most certainly fit that bill. "I'll apologize in advance in case anyone tries pulling out a fist-fight," he said with some amusement, shaking his head for the thought.

He lit up at the idea of grabbing something to eat, however. "That sounds great," he agreed. "I've never had alien food before. Well, not alien, but like... foreign? Alien? Kedan food might not count since it's the new baseline, but this is all different."

"I certainly hope it doesn't come to that." Rue's air of shock was mild, and very obviously affected. "After I went to all the trouble of convincing the delightful customs agents that I was no harm to anyone. Do you know how difficult that was, darling? To pretend as if I'm harmless? The very idea." That indignation? Yeah, that part was real enough. As real as anything about Rue was, anyway.

"Splendid! Let's see what we can find then, shall we?" Now that they were closer together, winding through the crowds was a good deal easier--and it was much easier for Rue to keep the salesmen at bay, simply by refusing to give them so much as a glance. Rue was attracted to pretty, shiny things as much as the next cat fellow, but he could be remarkably snobbish about giving up his valuable time and attention.

"Kedanese is quite the wildest thing I've had myself," he admitted, nodding. "Some of the cuisines we sampled during the war on Earth were a bit far-fetched, but nothing quite compares to sea prunes, does it?"
