[Midnight Hotel] March catch-all
Characters: Anyone, everyone.
Date: Month of March, 2016 (2017 in-game).
Location: The Midnight Hotel.
Situation: Catch-all post! Feel free to use this post for anything that happens within the Midnight Hotel during the month, using the subject header to label specific rooms or for specific people. See also the OOC note at the bottom.
Warnings/Rating: Mark your threads if content warnings become applicable, please!
The influx of patrons from Hatal has slowed somewhat as the novelty wears off and residents are assured they won’t miss anything by not visiting the quaint hotel right away. Most Tavimbians have got it through their heads that the proprietor takes his rules seriously, and have come to the usual conclusion that it’s not worth the effort of breaking them in minor ways.
Some of those assumptions might be questioned, given that those who live at the Hotel will have gotten the opportunity to witness said proprietor going out on the town with some friends.
Other changes this month involve the addition of a ramp function to the stairs leading from the lobby and common-area to the second floor. Like the escalator function, the ramp is controlled by buttons at the height and base of the stairs; when pressed, the steps fall flat against the floor into a ramp, and revert to their previous state only once there is no more weight on them.
These changes are to account for Bisi’s chair, but some kedanese children get in on the fun by using the ramp-stairs as a slide – though not too much, as their parents or guardians will shoo them off whenever they start getting in the way.
[ooc: The Midnight Hotel’s status page is available here, with the rules at the top and ongoing status at the bottom. PLEASE POST TO THE STATUS PAGE IF YOUR CHARACTER WOULD LIKE A ROOM, JOB OR AREA IN THE GARAGE, OR ARE MOVING OUT. Anton will manufacture means of payment until Foreigners are able to properly offer recompense or choose to move out.]

B
[ Bisi is manning the reception desk. She hasn't been doing it very long, and she's never had a customer service job before, so she hopes she isn't doing it too badly.
She didn't think she'd ever seen a place so warm and inviting as the hotel. The Orokin had always tended towards large and grand and silver - something that hinted at organic, but couldn't be anything less. The Tenno had largely inherited their taste. It felt so strange being in a building that was largely made of actual wood. ]
The proprietor runs it with something called 'runes' I'm to understand. It's a rather alien technology to me.

So it's run with magic? That explains all the different entrances everywhere.
[His grin widens and he tips her a friendly wink. ]
Name's Chat Noir.
no subject
[ She's no expert at customer service, but Chat's swagger has her smiling anyway. ]
Are you looking for a room?
no subject
[He's glad to see a smile, this place could always use more of those. ]
Nah, I'm just passing through. Taking some respite before taking on important heroing missions again.

[ It's funny - Bisi has been a soldier for the overwhelming majority of life, but she'd never really considered herself a hero, even if she tried her best to fight for the right causes. Perhaps being an engine of death and destruction was at odds with the concept of heroism.
Well, that wasn't quite true. Once upon a time she'd seen herself as a beacon of hope and security for the Orokin people. The rebellion changed that. It seemed so long ago - and in actuality it was much longer. ]

Heroing. You know, saving the day, stopping the bad guys, saving damsels in distress. It's a busy line of work.
no subject
Are there a great many days that need saving, or damsels distressing?

Could you share any stories? Of your heroism?
no subject
I sure can! I've got a little time to spare, after all. [He flashes her a wide grin. ]
How about the time my partner and I defeated a villain who could control the weather?

Okay, so this lady lost a competition to be a weather girl on TV. Papillon, he's the guy who's always fighting against us, he put an akuma into her and turned her into a villain. She called herself Climatika. She wanted revenge against the lady who she'd lost to, and started to put Paris into a deep freeze to get it.

Once me and Ladybug have defeated the villain, Ladybug breaks the item, release the akuma and swoosh, purifies it and it flies off like a regular white butterfly.
no subject
Oh, I'm sorry I'm interrupting your story.
no subject
It's fine. He's the bad guy we're always fighting. He wants to take our Miraculouses from us. Those are the jewellery we wear that lets us turn into superheroes, so you can guess we're not purrpeared to let go of them.
no subject
I see! Where did you get your Miraculouses? Did they wind up becoming the soul gems you have when we arrived?
no subject
[He grins, shaking his head and showing her the ring on his right hand. It's jet black, with a glowing green cat pawprint in the center.]
Nah, my soul gem is something else. I've hidden it for now, my Miraculous got through unharmed.

Yep! All us superheroes have one. Part of the whole superhero package. No one knows who I am behind this mask.
[Except Solomon, but he's pretty sure Solomon cheated so. ]
no subject
Sorry, so where were you in the story? Someone who could control the weather?
no subject
Oh, right. Anyway, Climactika had set Paris on the deep freeze, in the middle of Summer. Me and Ladybug tried to catch her a couple of times, but she could create hurricanes, and kept blowing us across the city before we could get near her.
Also she threw a bus at us. Ladybug cut a hole in it so it didn't actually hit us, but still. Rude.
no subject
[ She liked this Ladybug, she thought. ]
no subject
[He loves her so much, is that getting through? Does he need to gush MORE? ]
Anyway, she laid a trap for us at the TV station, zapped all the lights out but forgot that these babies [he taps the corner of one of his feline looking eyes] can see in the dark. So I managed to lead me and Ladybug out of the studio and onto the roof for out epic showdown.

[ Obviously they won, but... ]
