We bring order from chaos...
Characters: Shay Cormac (
irishthor), China Sorrows (
inkulcation), and Open
Date: 25th March - Night-time
Location: All over Keelial
Situation: Peridot spiked Shay with Dust and now the obvious is happening.
Warnings/Rating: Shay is an incredibly capable killer and a trained Assassin, so it's very possible that threads involving him may result in injuries and death.
Shay Cormac was confused. Confused, and angry, and feeling betrayed.
He crouches on a rooftop in the Metal sector, letting the shadows cover him, as he surveys the area below. It's still early, so plenty of people are still out. He scowls, his sense showing enemies all around him. Who can he trust? His friends are capable of doing this to him, so he can't trust them.
He feels rage bubbling inside. His so-called friends... thinking about them just made him angrier, and he has to fight the urge to go hunt them down... make sure they couldn't betray him again. Make sure this never happened again.
He stands, turning, free-running over to another rooftop, then another. He needed to do something about this.
((OOC: Shay is currently under the effects of the drug Dust, which amplifies negative emotions. Feel free to have your characters encounter him, or try to stop him, but he will attack, either to wound seriously, or kill. Peridot announced it over the radio here. Final snagging rights go to China Sorrows.

time for some good first impressions
But one thing went wrong on this day-- he took a nap. And for someone who has such a hard time falling asleep in the first place as he does, this wasn't good. Midnight had arrived and he had been in no mood to sleep, so what better time to go out on a night stroll? After all, Keelial had such a beautiful view during the evening, that Leo felt like this was a good chance.
Until, maybe thirty minutes into his walk, something, no-- someone caught his eye. Maybe for a normal person, it would be hard to see a cloaked figure jumping from roof to roof late into the night, but not for someone with Leo's eyes. "Hey!" he called out, curious as to who the hell was jumping around like a ninja. "Isn't it a little too late to be jumping on roofs? Don't people sleep at these hours?"
shay always gives the best first impressions
But, no, they were talking to him, which means they could see him... Which was bad. For them.
Turning, Shay instinctively activates his Sense. The image of the person in front of him flickers from blue, to red, then back to blue... He takes a step back, not sure what this means, before something seems to click into his mind. It didn't matter. They saw him, that means they need to unsee him.
Shifting, he flexes his left wrist, unlocking the hidden blade there with a click. Usually an assassination attempt like this is best performed when the target is completely unaware, but Shay probably still has surprise on his side.
He kicks off from the rooftop, jumping up, aiming his jump so it comes down towards Leo... Who may notice a flash of metal about Shay's left wrist.

badgood thing about magical eyes is that there really isn't a such thing as a hidden weapon. The (really) bad thing is that, in between the surplus of information, some things go unnoticed.Until now, at least. Now, the hidden blade might is as visible as daylight. And it's not something that Leo takes very much comfort in seeing. It stops him in his tracks, actually.
And when he takes that jump, goddamn Leo sprints a few meters back because he knows there's a knife there, and that it's probably aimed at his throat or somewhere else that's easy to rip apart. "I'm not here to hurt you!" He calls out, hoping that this guy wouldn't try to continue his attack.
Wait. "Are you the one that the girl on the radio was talking about...?" He voiced his thought, hesitantly, hoping that he's not that unlucky.

Of course, if Leo can see his weaponry, he might notice two mechanisms strapped to Shay's wrists, along with a sword, a dagger and a pistol.
"Not here to hurt me...?" Shay repeats, his accented voice soft, before he chuckles. "Girl on the radio... Peridot." Another chuckle. "Well, I think it's safe to assume she's told you all about me."
A sword gets drawn.
"Violent. Unstable... A monster." He growls. "Well, she's right."
And then he launches forward, sword raised, aiming to kill. This man saw him, knew about him. He had to be silenced.

Someone had to be kidding him. If there was a god above, he had to be messing with Leo, pointing and laughing at him from above. To have such luck was basically impossible for anyone except himself, and he wonders if he should watch out for black cats or broken mirrors.
But first of all, he had to look out for the person who was coming straight at him. This is one of the few times that he's glad for the All-Seeing Eyes, as they allow him to dodge the weapon in the nick of time. "Y-you don't have to be what she says!" He cries out, somewhat desperate-- desperate enough to not care whether or not his eyes were open. He had no idea whether this Peridot person was saying the truth or not; he just wanted to get home in one piece.
A step back. Another step back. Just a slow walk backwards, not taking his eyes off of the man in fear of any sudden movement. He could probably dodge the sword or the blade ( albeit with some difficulty ), but the hidden gun...well that had his stomach doing summersaults. And not the good kind.

He laughs. The sword lowers, but isn't put away.
"Oh, it all makes bloody sense now." He shakes his head. "You're all in on it. You, Peridot... The assassin. This has to be his idea. Get me drugged up on Dust, make me seem violent."
He raises the sword, pointing it at Leo. "You... your job in this is to be the "Victim", isn't it? To give them a reason to kill me."
no subject
"WHAT?" Leo cries out, feeling his heart skip a bit as the sword is pointed once more at him. Just for a second, he thought that this was going to pass, too. Stupid him, thinking that something good would happen to him.
He takes another, shakier step backwards, "I-I-I- I don't know anything about that!" the brunet stammers, trying to stay as strong as possible-- which is not very much at all. "Wh-why would I want to even get hurt on purpose?!" Sure, he heard very well the whole part about him being drugged, but he's still going to try and reason with him.
"I don't know anything about this. Hell, I didn't even know you were drugged!" He feels his whole body shake in fear, and for a moment, Leo remembers the day he and his sister were visited by that celestial being and the dread that consumed him. "But you sure a-are violent, that's for sure!"
Yeah, that's smart, backtalk the guy pointing a sword at you.

"You really play the part, don't you?" He asks, mostly rhetorical, before taking another step towards the man in front of him. "But if you really expect me to believe that this isn't part of some plan to get rid of me..."
He then takes a step back, moving to sheath the sword.
"I'm not going to kill you. That would give them the reason they're looking for." Why, yes, he is sounding incredibly paranoid. "But if you tell anyone that you saw me... You won't live to see tomorrow. Do you understand?"
no subject
"Y-y-yes, sir." He nods nervously, still trembling in fear over the one hundred and one possibilities that could still occur. Because, yes, he is also somewhat paranoid by nature. "Just. Just let me go. I won't tell anyone, I promise. I can't even try to get rid of you I can barely kill a rat."
Whether that's true or not depends. Part of him feels that he's gonna need to tell his boss, just to get him mentally ready to see his corpse tomorrow morning...or something like that.

You bet he's fucking running. He almost trips on his way, but worry not, he is running back where he came from so he can never sleep peacefully again for twenty seven years.

They wanted an excuse to kill him. Let mob justice rule. The Assassin had warped the minds of other people... or they were all in on it, too. Either way, Shay couldn't let this stand.
Once Leo is out of sight, he's free-running back onto the rooftops. Time to settle this.
