[EVENT | FOURTH WALL] THE DREAMING'S FLATULENCE | APRIL 15-30
Characters: ALL and plus ones. (Yes, fourth-wall characters, that means you.)
Date: April 15-30 2016 (2017 in-game)
Location: Mod-posted comment starters are for the immediate aftermath of the odd explosion which starts the event, but this log can also be used for anywhere in the setting anytime between April 15-30.
Situation: The College went BOOM. Weird people began appearing randomly in the city. After that, other buildings went BOOM even though nothing actually exploded besides the College. After that, scattered buildings developed spontaneous structural damage overnight. Could these events be related? You be the judge.
Warnings/Rating: Add warnings in subject headers as needed.
The morning of April 15th dawns cold, but clear. There isn't a cloud in the sky, the sun's barely risen, and in general the kedan are going about their daily lives - opening shops, heading to work, leading kirin through the city streets. In particular, there's a small but steady stream of people moving in and out of the College.
Then, without warning, a section of the College implodes.
During the following few days, an influx of strange Foreigners appear, seemingly dropped randomly by the Dreaming throughout Keeliai. Someone might end up in a canal, or on a rooftop. Someone else might find themselves flying through the air to land heavily in a disused alley. Someone might wake up in the corner of a kirin stable. A few might even land in Hatal on the mainland, and feel a curious draw leading them back towards the turtle. They arrive in the same unexpected manner as normal Foreigners; the only differences are the sheer amount of people arriving at once, and that none of the newcomers seem to possess any soul gems.
Also during the next few days, kedan and Foreigner alike might be startled by an exact replica of that thunderous boom from the College explosion echoing around Keeliai. This only occurs for about a week, but it occurs regularly, and the source of these strange echoes is impossible to trace.
Once the explosion echoes stop, investigators might notice that specific and exact sections of structural damage from the College appear on other buildings in Keeliai without any obvious cause. These cases of spontaneous long-term damage continue all the way through until April 30th.
Apart from those disruptions, life on the turtle is generally normal for the next two weeks - or as normal as it's possible for life to be when one lives on the back of a turtle where the most powerful gang makes the rules. No one can say for sure exactly when the strange Foreigners vanish again. Some will swear they all vanished at once; others will be equally sure they disappeared one by one over several days. One thing's for sure, however -- by the time April 30th draws to a close, not one of the strange Foreigners is left in Keeliai.

B
To be honest he didn't realize that the person he saw wielding zaiphon, wearing a Barsburg uniform, was Yukikaze. It's not exactly his first conclusion, all things considered. But another Barsburg soldier was another Barsburg soldier and he had not seen anyone else from his world here until now, so it was only natural that the ever-inquisitive and invasive Hyuuga would wander up to have a look. All the while talking around one of his lollipops.
"Working out for you~☆?"
Re: B
So Yukikaze turns to glare at the person who disrupts his concentration--
Only to stop in surprise.
Seeing a familiar face of the younger Black Hawk is not an unwelcome sight, however, if he himself was here, and so was Hyuuga-kun, then who was at their king's side at the moment? That was more pressing than any greetings or pleasantries.
"Go back home."
'Hello' can come later.
Re: B
“What a way to greet someone, Yukikaze.”
Which is when he realizes that he’s talking to Yukikaze. It didn’t register that it was him because it was such a weird, unbelievable thing, to meet Yukikaze again. Yukikaze was supposed to be dead - just like Hyuuga probably was going to be soon. Or maybe he already is and this is actually what the afterlife is like, except it shouldn’t be. And he has not yet used the seed, so it should be another couple moments where he could act out of character before he was most likely swallowed up by it. But as long as he got rid of Katsuragi-san---Landkarte, then it was fine.
He stares at Yukikaze for several moments, not able to hide his shock. He points a finger at Yukikaze. “Yukikaze?”

And combined with Hyuuga's real or affected immaturity, well... if he was honest, Yukikaze always regarded Hyuuga as one would a younger member of family, even though the actual difference wasn't much. So he's now quick to notice Hyuuga-kun's current age.
For a moment, he doesn't quite react, as this is a bit difficult to acknowledge, much less process. But when the implications truly hit him, he laughs softly, with relief.
In a second or three, he stops laughing, like on command. He can continue later, right now it would be rude to ignore the current circumstances.
"Yes, Hyuuga-kun. And before you ask: firstly, yes, I'm truly here, secondly, no, I don't understand how such a thing came to be."
"And I'm very sorry, it wasn't my intention to startle you. Hello and welcome to this weird place."

Meanwhile, he's looking at his younger - well, older now - friend thoughtfully. He believes it really is Hyuuga-kun, and he has hundreds of questions to ask him, more with each second he thinks about them - or two questions, as all the other ones would be just out of curiosity and may just as well wait. He believes this older Hyuuga-kun really is Hyuuga-kun and consequently that this world can take people from various 'present times' (his present is the past to Hyuuga now, and that's fascinating) just as it can take them from various worlds.
But believing is different from knowing (he's used to believing in many things that he doesn't quite know or understand) and so, he can't yet ask important questions, it would be irresponsible of him.
Shakes his head at Hyuuga's question. "I've been here only for a few hours, so I would make a poor host."
This world almost certainly isn't any kind of afterlife, but he's not yet sure why he already believes that. Therefore he leaves that unsaid.
After a moment, he adds "If you're really Hyuuga-kun, it's good to see you again."
Looks pointedly at Hyuuga, silently hoping that he hurries up with proving his identity (there were hundreds ways of doing so), so that Yukikaze's current beliefs can be confirmed.
That in Hyuuga's time, Hyuuga-kun's alive and well - which, most crucially, means that so is Ayanami-sama. Which is exactly the only reason's Yukikaze could afford to laugh like a child earlier.

"But I don't know what to think about seeing you again, after all these years." He's conflicted. He's always been conflicted about Yukikaze, even while the man was still alive. Like jealousy, because Aya-tan loved him so, but also that feeling of knowing that Aya-tan was happy, because he wanted Aya-tan to be happy. And after he died.... His feelings regarding Yukikaze didn't exactly get less complicated. "Though I guess it's good, maybe."
no subject
And also...
"Whoever said anything of tolerance? Ayanami-sama has recently fallen for you, too, even despite the fact that you're quite intolerable sometimes, so that's quite a feat. You should be proud of yourself instead of complaining."
And saying this also means 'yeah, you're Hyuuga-kun, okay. Now we can talk honestly.'
"Who's Konatsu? Is he or she a Black Hawk? I hope you're not saddling them with your paperwork. I still remember the year in Academy when I had to do half of your homework."
2/2
However, curiosity can wait, what's truly important cannot.
He has to take a deep breath and remind himself not to ask it in Raggs language, though he wants to, because how else can he ask something so crucial?
Still speaking in Barsburg language, though a hint of Raggs accent is getting through.
"How is he now?"
1/3
He giggles a little while longer, until he moves on. Still very happy, because, well, he's really happy.

Softly, and in a tone of voice one might use to a newlywed groom "Congratulations, Hyuuga-kun. If I believed in any gods I'd say they blessed you, if Konatsu-chan is the way you describe him."
2/2
"So... did he get his Fragments back? Or reunited with his beloved Eve-sama?"
To imagine that happening right now is a bit overwhelming.
"I'm glad. He's finally- he finally no longer plagued by nightmares every night, hopefully... I.m so glad... Thank you. I know it's your own happiness, but still, thank you for helping our King achieve his goals. Maybe someday I'll even forgive myself that I couldn't help, at such a crucial time as your present time."
Also - yes, it was true about Ayanami-sama's recent fondness for Hyuuga. Yukikaze's recently noticed that his precious Lieutenant has slowly been falling in love with Hyuuga-kun - just don't tell Ayanami-sama, he'd surely deny it - and now he's glad for it. Especially now that he's dead. Krowell-sama once said that he hates being alone, because he has no feelings, so he needs someone to feel such things for him - and though Ayanami-sama had feelings now, surely more than ever now, still... Yukikaze would never rest easy if Ayanami-sama was left in solitude.
And after all, Krowell-sama even killed his mother so that his soul wouldn't be alone. Yukikaze wondered if Hyuuga knew that, or if he was still the only human being who knew that much.

"He has some of them! He'll get the rest too!" Because it's Aya-tan. "He'll probably get Eve-chan back too." Somehow. He doesn't know how that works but the important thing is that it does work out somehow.
But his nightmares... Hyuuga was the only one, now, that ever saw their beloved King's sleeping face, although it was rare since Ayanami didn't really sleep much. He still had them, just not as often as in the past. And maybe some day, Hyuuga will be able to forgive Yukikaze for dying, too. But talking about things like that would be very hypocritical of him, especially right now, considering what he had been about to do when he found himself in this place. "Of course, I'll do absolutely anything for Aya-tan's sake! You know that."
1/2
He looks thoughtful for a moment.
"I am not exaggerating, I truly don't. The truth is - though do not tell our King that I told you that - I just wasn't born in Barsburg Empire, no matter what my papers say, and that's the truth. I can trust you with that, because you're Hyuuga-kun."
"So - even if that's a crime, because normally, I would only be allowed to do so with Ayanami-sama's permission - allow me to thank you from the bottom of my heart, with no language barriers. Actually, you shouldn't be able to understand if I did that, though I never would, at home, but here, all languages are somehow strangely understendable."
2/2
Which, because of this place's translation, might not be apparent at all at first. Because Hyuuga-kun can still understand what Yukikaze's saying, anyway. What might be apparent is Raggs accent, no longer hidden at all, and the fact that Hyuuga has never heard Yukikaze speak without any half second hestiations between sentences before. And sound so comfortable.
Unless he ever eavesdropped Ayanami and Yukikaze when they were alone, which was also possible.
"Thank you for being born, Hyuuga-kun. Thank you for staying at his side, for being his current knight. No matter what he says, our precious King would hate being lonely, he always did. At home, in exile, and in new homeland of his. And that's why I wish to thank you. Even if this might be cheesy. You have my blessing, and may G--- no, I suppose not. May Verloren be with you."
And he bows.
Hyuuga has probably never heard Yukikaze say words like 'cheesy' as Kaze's never learned such trivial words in Barsburg language.
And now, in Barsburg language again "It has been a stressful day, so I suppose I have become slightly too talkative. But... we can change the subject now, if you prefer so, Hyuuga-kun."
no subject
He stares a little while, once more going perfectly silent. Then he laughs a little awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head and grinning. "Ahahaha, today sure is a day of surprises~" He really doesn't know what to say but - and he does not show it - Yukikaze's words does make him think. "Yukikaze is being embarrassing today~☆"
