Characters: Dååhd and OPEN
Date: May 14th.
Location: Starting with the Earth sector, but he can be found all over Keelial
Situation: Turtle familiarization!
Warnings/Rating: Should be pretty PG-13, will edit if it changes.
Starting in prose, but actionspam is just as welcome.

He had eaten. He had slept, or something close to it, and he had washed and dressed and now he was stepping out into this strange world that he still didn't know quite what to make of. He wasn't a spiritual man by any measure and furthermore it didn't feel like a spiritual experience — perhaps Freund would've been able to add something worthwhile but his batman was nowhere to be found and by now Dååhd suspected it would remain so.
Stepping out of his living quarters in the Earth sector, he drew a deep breath. Steadied himself. You can't accomplish much of anything without a clear head and in the past eight months or so that he'd worked under Wahlstedt he'd realized that the best way to get to the bottom of things was to hit the streets. Talk to people but even more so listen.
So that's what he'll do. No time like the present.

So he argues the kedan down to a fraction of the asked-for cost and smiling, turns away. His prize? An apple. Which he tosses up in the air and catches as he saunters away from the booth.
There's a man nearby, a newcomer by the slightly shellshocked look to him, and Bruce gives him a brief nod of acknowledgement.]

That nod of acknowledgement is the only invitation he needs. Let's chat. ]
I see that good negotiation skills come in handy around here.

They certainly do, yes. So long as you're negotiating with the right people.

Bruce Wayne. I'm lacking in impressive credentials, personally.
[But he holds out a hand with congeniality enough.]

It's a pleasure... and I would hardly call my accomplishments impressive. It is a profession, like many others.

[Alfred acts in that capacity for him, which is perhaps why his tone is so... direct.]

[His shrug is perfectly casual.]

[ Angling for a job? Why yes he is. ]

More than you might expect. It seems like every few weeks or so we have some new danger cropping up. I've even been injured myself once or twice.
[He says that with a patently disbelieving tone, like, can you imagine? Me?]
You should stop by some time, see if our facilities are up to your standard. I'd appreciate the help.
no subject
I'd like that very much. Ah... perhaps once I've gotten my bearings straight?
no subject
[Gracelessly angling on his own? Of course.]

The truth of the matter is, he's nearly killed himself keeping busy here. It's so dissimilar from Gotham it's almost damning, in a way.]
You'd think so, hm? I'd be glad to help get you on your feet in any way I could.

[Bruce waves a hand, a deflection of that gratitude.]
In the meantime, is there anything else you'd like help with?

[Bruce pats down his suit (one of Favrielle's) and comes up with a business card, which he holds out. It has the address of his main office, and his personal contact information.]
It's in English, I'm afraid, but the directions shouldn't be too hard.

There are plenty of people here willing to teach it. Unfortunately it does seem to be the dominant language, so while the audio [he waves a hand near his ear] translates just fine, we've had some difficulty with written linguistics in the past.
[Hardly a problem for him, since he reads and speaks nearly every major dialect on Earth and some people haven't even heard of, but. You know. There's normal people to consider. Civilians.]

Well, if you've no further questions of me I believe I'll be on my way.
