Bruce is expecting Jim to show up at some point after the mess that was the past few weeks. He'd made a point of dropping in without announcement to hang out and provide idle chatter-- and occasionally lunch-- before the depowering and fight against Malicant had happened, and there'd been that one memorable incident wherein Bruce spilled more of his guts than he was comfortable with. He'd prefer pretending it'd never happened as much as possible, but it does mean that he has a certain expectation that Jim will show up uninvited and check in eventually. Bruce isn't someone who seeks out others all that often, and in this case he's content to wait until Jim is ready and has recovered from whatever had happened to him during the crisis. He has no idea what that was, but there was probably something. There always is.

For his part, he's lurking around his lab as usual, determining a new direction of research. Annabeth had given him some ideas, but they weren't anything in his area, and were going to require getting a lot more comfortable with metaphysical (magic) laws than he was currently. Truthfully, Bruce would appreciate the interruption.
