[Any supposition that Leo's eyes could not have gotten any larger is now utterly disproven. Disbelief, wonder and elation vie for dominance, but there's a bit of each in the cheek-splitting smile that emerges as he glances at the vacant chair and back to the captain.

He's happy enough just to be here, knowing the most he could reasonably have expected would be to have Kirk show him around, maybe go to a planet and have an adventure. But to sit in that chair, and take her out himself?

Best. Dream. Ever.]

Really? I- [His voice squeaks with enthusiasm. With a modicum of self-consciousness, the young leader reins in his delight, clears his throat and straightens his posture.] I mean, yes I would - Sir!

[Thank you for the best thing that's ever happened to me, his smile beams, and then he turns to The Chair. Trailing one finger along the armrest, his eyes linger on the hallowed seat before slowly lowering himself into it. Almost unaccountably, it generously accommodates the width of his shell and the controls don't seem quite as undersized as they should.

After all, it's a dream, right?

He's gotten his grin of delight mostly under control when he looks back up at Kirk, the light of adventure lending a cocky edge to the lingering expression. It certainly doesn't take him long to take advantage of any inch he's given.]

What's in that direction? [He glances towards the star-field – so much more rich and vibrant than the white-speckled portrayal on TV, thriving with stars he never could have seen from New York – and back. What lies over that endless horizon?]
