He took the punch, and even her flesh hand was like a small rock hitting his arm. It would heal of course, but it still hurt. "I didn't think you'd buy it!!" He retorted, making a sweeping gesture despite the pain. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down before they started drawing a crowd with their ridiculous antics and suddenly starting to realize what a bad idea this had really been as he rethought and analyzed the quick succession of faces she'd made.

Apparently he wasn't calm enough yet though, because he suddenly blurted out "You look really nice by the way!" In a voice that still sounded kind of loud and angry.
