It's not like Bart ever takes long to answer a door - if anything, he's faster about it here than he was back home, because all of the knocks are either for A. Him or B. Tim. The Tim knocks can be commandeered as Bart knocks - the people that they know largely overlap. Anyone that's OK with Tim is OK with Bart, so really every knock is someone that he knows or a possibly interesting someone that he wants to find out about. He doesn't miss the Jehovah's Witnesses knocks, but he could really go for some elicit Girl Scout cookies. New people are the closest thing he's going to get to a real endorphin rush without video games or trouble (the former don't seem to exist here; the latter he could do without for awhile).

But as he's slowing down to properly open the door, Kon is talking on the other side. While Kon's not new, he's every bit as good if not better than new people. Particularly when he's promising a beach party.

And now the door's open, and Bart's leaning against the frame. "I'm in. When's it start? Do I need a swimsuit? Cause the kedan forgot to pack mine. Not to mention my toothbrush."
