She hears how hoarse his voice is and she cringes a bit. Oops. But, she also hears the grin and it gets one from her in return. God, he sounds good. And she appreciates how happy he sounds. She doesn't think it's because she called, but she presses on anyway.

She missed his voice.

"I am. It's pretty awesome." She grins a bit more and adds; "You sound like yourself. How are you feeling?"
