Characters: Scott McCall & Isaac Lahey
Date: a week after the misspell event is over.
Location: Isaac's suite, Fire Sector
Situation: dumb boys talking about feelings.
Warnings/Rating: none for now.

It's been a week since Scott saw Isaac in person. They've exchanged texts since then, asked each other how their day was, etc., basically talked about everything other than The Thing They Need To Talk About. They'd started talking about it, but it felt too weird when Isaac was in Lincoln's body and Scott was a girl, so they agreed to continue the conversation when they were back to normal again.

Scott's been back to normal for a few days now and he knows Isaac is back in his own body too, but Scott's been using their time apart to think about how he feels and what he's going to do or say about it. Stiles has been a big help and made him realize that constantly thinking about someone and wearing their shirt and missing falling asleep cuddling them on the couch aren't things strictly associated with friendship. He certainly hadn't thought about Isaac as just a friend during his time as a girl whilst in the shower...

Despite having days to prepare a speech for Isaac, he's still not any closer to knowing how to express his feelings. But he misses Isaac and wants to see him face-to-face again, and maybe the words will come to Scott when he's actually in front of Isaac and he'll end up saying something surprisingly eloquent...

Or, he'll make a complete idiot of himself. That's probably what's going to happen.

But it's too late now. He's standing outside Isaac's suite after knocking on his door, anxiously waiting for him to answer.

Scott can't remember the last time he was this nervous.
