Situation: A group of people decide to earn some extra money by starting a bar brawl + Hal decides to try and kill Jaime because his ring told him to
Warnings/Rating: Violence! Fighting!

Setting up two threads for this because four way threads are unwieldy and take a bit of time. This way we can have the proper mission stuff and then a little bit of attempted murder at the end when Hal discovers Jaime. We should probably nix the tagging order and just jump in when each of us is available without hogging all the tagging.

[The moment the call for help went out, Hal was on it. This was on a far smaller scale than what he was used to, but the Green Lantern corp was essentially a police force. This was the sort of thing he was supposed to do. The job itself sounded easy too, evict a few unruly patrons and made sure they stayed out. Hal was aware when he took the job that he might be getting a bit of help, but he hadn't thought anything of it until he showed up at the location.

Whatever. They could take on whoever slipped past him.]

Hey! Anyone affiliated with the Shailo needs to leave this place now!

[As if anyone was going to feel threatened by a man in green tights and glowed.]

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE NEW BLUE BEETLE IS A GOOD GUY

[As the fighting was winding down, Hal's ring suddenly goes berserk, blaring warnings at him. Hal doesn't think twice, he throws one last punch at the guy he was fighting, sending him crashing into the wall before he turns his attentions to whatever the ring is warning him about.

...the kid? Didn't he claim he was the new Blue Beetle? But if the ring said he was bad news, then he was bad news. Hal yells wordlessly, forming constructs of his fellow Green Lantern members to all converge on him. He was limited in what he could create without bringing the building down, but he could deal with this.]

[Shayera couldn't jump fast enough on the chance to actually do some good around here. Much less one that involved a bar fight, it was right up her alley. And, of course, she hadn't been able to cut loose and have a goof fight in a while. Two birds, one stone.

Needless to say, she didn't find Hal's method particularly effective. There were a few snickers throughout the bar, even a few bold chuckles. Shayera strode past him, her mace raised, as she tapped it in her opposite palm.] You can listen to him, or deal with me.

[That got them to be a little more serious.]

[Jaime lives in the Earth Sector, but Blue Beetle typically winds down his patrols in it. Flying low overhead, it's not difficult to spot that something's going down at the bar below him: the noise, even without the Scarab's helpful blaring in his ear that a Green Lantern is in the area, is unavoidable.

Of course, a GL caught in whatever chaos was down there might need a hand! From a fellow hero! Because that's what heroes do, right? Right. Unluckily for Jaime, he's gotten spoiled with how accustomed Kyle's gotten to the Scarab. The moment he walks through the door is the moment that an entire host of Green Lanterns all rushing in his direction.

Well, shit.

Jaime's first instinct, and the Scarab's first instinct, is to take a step backwards, turn around, and book it, and he does, shooting back outside in a burst of speed.]

[Jaime just manages to get out of the building which is great news for Hal. This means he could take to the air and worry a little less about property damage, he'd already helped cause a lot back inside and he didn't need to add to it especially since this fight wasn't going to be covered in the expenses.

He dispels his construct and runs outside to take to the air. A blue suit of armour is only slightly less subtle compared to him in a glowing green uniform which means it isn't hard to spot him.]

Freeze!

[escarabajo]

[Is this seriously the fourth time that he's had to deal with an angry lantern? He hovers in the air, then Jaime holds up his hands in a show of compliance, trying not to look too guilty. Or panicked.]

Okay, I know this looks really bad, and I know that your ring's probably screaming at you to murder me, but I'm on the good side, I swear!

[At least there's not going to be collateral damage or anything. He hopes.]

[Holding his hands up was a wise move, it makes Hal pause despite all the blaring the ring is doing.]

You've got five seconds to explain.

[Quite literally. If it takes more than five, Hal is just going to start hitting things.]

Okay, uh...

[Quick, Beetle-- five seconds.]

Blue Beetle! After Ted! Scarab's Reach which the Ring thinks is evil but this one isn't?!

[Jaime grins sheepishly in an attempt to look less threatening. It just looks like a horrid awkward grimace.]
