Corning made a really tough glass that can take a beating. It's an alkali-aluminosilicate. I've read about it, but it's still new. The specifics are a total industry secret. Something ion exchanges and molten alkaline salts. Molten doesn't sound kitchen-friendly. I think I should stick to one set of chemicals at a time.
