Location: Stark Industries
Situation: Asami flips her hair and lands herself a job. And a car.
Warnings/Rating: Mild flirting... with danger.
[She wonders if she's seen this building before. Apparently she was once familiar with the rest of it. Considering the allure of Stark Industries, she wouldn't be surprised if she's looked upon this same edifice before and found it familiar to home and amazing at the same time.
So Asami is a little hard to please today. Yesterday was different. Yesterday she was weak in her own disorientation; she could absorb new faces and locations like a sponge and find it only surreal, but as of waking up this morning she feels trapped in a definite physical existence she isn't near ready to accept. She almost stayed in bed, tightened her legs up to her chest and kept her eyes shut until she could be confident she was in her own house when she opened them. That part never came, she knew it never would, and reality hurt too much for it to be a conjuring in her own head.
When she eventually sat up, she reluctantly resolved to fulfill the plans she had made and to (re)learn about the place she's been in. At least it isn't a total prison; she has the freedom to move and make her own decisions.
She looks more presentable now after shopping than she did on the network yesterday in a modest, sleek and layered outfit. Feeling at least comfortable in her own skin again, Asami approaches the reception desk, forcing comfortable assertion into her voice. Unfortunately her natural gusto has decided to take a sick day.]
Hey, my name is Asami Sato. I'm here to see Tony Stark, is he available?
—Oh, no, I don't have an appointment... but he's expecting me.
[Apparently Mr. Stark is "expecting" everyone. Asami sighs and lifts a hand as a gesture of reasoning.]
Look, I know you're just doing your job, but maybe you could page him and see if he knows my name. I'll get out of your hair if he doesn't.
