Despite his frustrations, Steve was cordial. He was the one showing up on someone else's doorstep, after all. More importantly, Natasha was a trusted member of his team. The revelation from the other night didn't change that. Steve needed to hear what she had to say about everything, and needed to know her perspective.

"If you're not busy, I was hoping we could talk."

He didn't visibly indicate what he wanted to discuss, but that would change. Or at least, he'd bluntly say what it was. Her doorstep just wasn't the place for that.
