The Scarab hasn't fully been able to analyze the tree-goo's contents-- some sort of blockage, which'd been commonplace these days, unfortunately-- but it knew enough to guess it wasn't anything good.
In the distance, the trees touched by everyone else are still shrieking away.
"...And even if it could, it wouldn't block everybody else touching them."
