barely moved, we've arrived—
Characters: Asami Sato (
chittybang) and Zatanna Zatara (
backwordscompatible)
Date: Backdated
Location: Earth sector
Situation: Zatanna helps Asami put out a fire. Not a literal fire, but it had might as well be.
Warnings/Rating: Will update if any.
So, definitely not her brightest moment. Then again, Asami didn't know Keeliai like she knew Republic City. She could draw a map of her hometown from memory and mark the places to avoid if she'd really wanted to; but because she was so used to that, she felt a bit foolish for helping out a character who'd looked so unsuspecting, lacking the telltale signs of a Republic City gangster.
The damage was done, though, and she felt it was her responsibility to clean up her mess. Unfortunately she wouldn't be able to go about it on her own, so she had to enlist the help of somebody. The "Krew" might have been ideal, but she preferred the help of someone she didn't know quite as well. Luckily, she had Zatanna, with whom she'd laid the foundation of a friendship and also had a decent track record for dealing with this sort of thing. She could learn a thing or two today without it getting awkward or personal.
"Hey, glad you could make it." Her arms were crossed as she'd waited for Zatanna, and she uncrossed them as she turned to face her. "Thanks for coming out."
