[Alvin isn't actively looking for Leia. He may have told her that he would go find her if he ever needed to talk, but it's...a little uncomfortable to think about. He doubts she feels any different. To pretend like he knows what she's thinking though seems a little too...him. He likes to think that he can read anybody because that's what he's been doing ever since...well...that boat ride that went way off the promised destination.
Of course...since he isn't actually looking for her, there she is...yelling at a bird. His day is already far more weird than he figured it would go. He eyes the bag and lets out a big ol' sigh. He can't help it. He watches this all unfold from a distant before he steps a little closer, carefully avoiding the distance it will take her to smack him with her staff.
He makes sure to project his voice as he holds up his hand in greeting.]
Give the poor guy a break! It's hard to buy groceries when you're a bird!
