A. JADE SCHOOL OF KUNG FU DOJO (DAYTIME - WOOD SECTOR)

Things were getting back to normal now that the battle inside the Kithika bottle had been won and the corruption there purged. While Bakura had elected not to venture inside -- Ryou's persona gave him the alibi but the thief simply calculated it to be too many unknowns -- ultimately he felt he'd made the right decision. After all, if there did end up being a battle for this world, it wouldn't be held in such a confine; it would be here in Keeliai, at the seat of this world's power. He knew; it was why he'd brought the fight back to Kul Elna where the real power had been, rather than the Royal City where those Sutekh-damned priests thought they had the advantage.

Bakura settled his thoughts from getting too much off topic, knowing that he could stew about being pulled out of his Memory RPG endlessly if he wasn't careful. So instead he gathered up the freshly washed towels, still damp and carried them by the armful out to the back of the dojo that faced a quiet side street, beginning to hang them from the line to dry in the sun. For as much that he played it in part of Ryou's persona, the straightforward work was a good anchor for him.

B. ERRANDS (ALL KEELIAI)

Bakura was immensely glad that the weather was warming, letting him shed the magically imbued winter accessories he'd gotten from Willow. He'd expected them to stop working after her disappearance but the effect had persisted, so he'd continued to use them; without her in the city, he no longer had to worry about someone using them to identify him as "Shen". He'd gotten paid for his work at the dojo and today was in one of the many outdoor markets, purchasing a variety of food staples. While he generally tried to keep the types of meals similar enough to what one would expect from a Japanese teenager, he was currently staring at a cage of brown hens and debating with himself, stuffed with onions and roasted or...

C. MONSTER ATTACK (FIRE SECTOR - NIGHT)

His two previous summons, Fenrir and Nemuriko, had both proved to be immensely informative for the thief and even in the wake of something as disruptive as the crusade inside the bottle, Bakura was eager to test out another aspect of the Ring's power here in Keeliai. This time he summoned a Spellcaster, most specifically an Effect monster. While both Fenrir and Nemuriko had been normal summons, their abilities derived directly from the creatures they were and Bakura had given his choice heavy consideration before settling on Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer. Bakura wanted to know exactly how literal the adaptions of the card effects would work here, powered by the Ring and unhindered by a world that didn't believe in magic any longer as in Domino.

The half-masked, monkish appearance of the creature certainly stood out starkly in Keeliai and Bakura trailed where it went, keeping out of sight of anyone who might run into it. He was hoping that the nature of Kycoo might draw out primarily magic users to repel it but, like the other two, he would glean valuable information from any who chose to engage it in battle. Striding on tall geta sandals, Kycoo whipped his fingers through the air. Forming an intricate glowing symbol in the air that it then pushed into one of the fire fountains, causing it to explode in a shower of stone pieces before moving deeper into the sector.

(( OOC: Kycoo's special effect allows it to banish two monsters from the Graveyard. In the real world, this translates to taking away up to two of an opponent's magical or extraordinary abilities for the duration of the fight only. The effect targets abilities very specifically while not touching others so for example, if Kycoo were to fight Korra, it might temporarily disable her ability to airbend and waterbend, but then it would not be able to effect the other two elements. If fighting a magician, Kycoo could null two specific spells but nothing else. I also am looking for one or two volunteers to spot Bakura during the battle. If you're interested, poke me at [plurk.com profile] sojourney or PM this account. ))
