Zatanna had been coming home from an evening shift at the magic shop when she first spotted them.
To be more specific, she spotted Mako, having yet to recognize the obvious female figure curled into him. They were on a hill not too far from her treehouse, and from the distinct lack of movement, she could tell they they were both asleep. And she grinned. A date, maybe? How precious.
"Where's a camera when you need one?" She murmured softly to herself, and was about to be on her way when the moon came out from behind a cloud, revealing the aforementioned female figure.
It was Korra.
She froze in place, lips parted in...honestly, she didn't even know what anymore. Surprise? Nope. These two were way above and beyond surprise. Confusion? Well, that was a given. Were they back together? Again? Even though Korra had insisted that their last breakup had been final.
"...okay, no, seriously, where's a camera when you need one?" She echoed once more. Perhaps a little louder than intentioned.
