Aside from people trying to sell him goods, Akito has been the one to initiate conversation, and so he's startled when a girl addresses him. His initial surprise turns to suspicion. Why is she talking to him? Is she trying to take advantage of him, since he's obviously a new face? Holding his purchases more closely to himself, Akito subtly adjusts his posture to something more defensive.
