It spoke a lot that, while Jack clarified the existence of his parents...he immediately went back to describing his sister, only. As if she were the only person in his life that mattered so much as to remember.
"Michel wasn't that much younger. I think I was...six, when he was born? Seven?" It seemed strange for one as smart as she to not be able to recall a detail like that, but in those early years of her life, time was a bit of a generalized concept. Keeping track of the days had been difficult, when there had been so many other things on her young mind. "But I helped to raise him when Mama died. Especially after Papa got sick."
Which was, in a way, why the little boy was so dear to her. He had been more than just a little brother to her; she honestly wouldn't have been surprised if he'd started to call her mama by the time he was old enough to talk, rather than just Midii or sis-sis.
