If I know one thing that's true,
Characters: Korra (
alphatar), Mako (
firethepolice)
Date: April 21st
Location: WO-1D
Situation: The Big Discussion on figuring out just what they are right now.
Warnings/Rating: N/A (Two nerds)
Now that she had a few days to get some healing sessions in on her leg, Korra was without her splint and managed to prevent any major scarring from the cauterization of her bullet wound. And she had a lot to be thankful to Mako for. After her encounter with Joel, one that had frightened her more than she'd admit to anyone, she had stayed at his suite. Not wanting to be alone after learning just what a gun was, Mako being sick from the spores, the creepy way the consoles were acting up, Asami leaving...
Too much at once.
And of course there was what happened while she was taking care of him while he was sick. The fact that she had been sleeping on the bed with him, being that close to him and keeping things simply platonic since the couch had been ruined from her bleeding out all over it while being in shock, well that didn't ease personal matters at all.
Things were more leveled out now, health wise.
Mako was better, help from her healing and some tending to got him out of that fever. Her leg was in optimal condition and she had time to fully recover from the physical shock. Which meant they now had time and actual focus to sit down and talk.
With the consoles being on the fritz and her staying there, it would be face to face.
Korra finished putting her hair up in it's usual style and walked out of the restroom. She just so happened to catch Mako as he just left the bedroom. Seeing him not being a pale mess was heartening, and she grinned. Though there was a hint of nervousness to it.
"Hey." As much as she wanted to avoid the subject, she knew Mako wouldn't. Anything else, he would, but things got rather heated a couple of days ago and he hadn't been in his right mind. Something she felt guilty about and Korra never did well with guilt.
"You're looking a lot better."
