Oddly enough there's no sign of deception or, for that matter, anything else in the thief's posture and expression; zero reaction to Costigan's overt surprise and skepticism other than to throw a sidelong look at him. Either he had been expecting such a response or he simply didn't care what the reaction was going to be, for good or ill.

"Miracle Dig is a Spell," he answered the first portion with something almost like boredom, though the inflection on Spell and not spell could be discerned. "As for why?" Bakura shrugged. "There was no reason to let them be crushed."
