He does look much better, and Enjolras feels a bit less worried that he'd interrupted something, as he had first started to fear. The change in mood helps him as well, and he is nodding a little in return.

"My name is Enjolras, from Paris, before all of this." Meaning the turtle, Malicant, and everything else that's come of it. "I was reading law, but I am, in fact, ready to learn something more practical just now."

He does not add that helping here might soothe some of the inner demons and stray thoughts that pass through his mind, reminding him that he deserves his fate. If he can make something good out of chaos, find something to focus on that is not solely himself, things will be better. And what other place to help than here?
