One of Rex's eyebrows arched at the sudden motion, gaze tracking the tossed food until it abruptly vanished into the maw of the polar bear dog behind them. He hadn't been expecting that and he jerked to one side instinctively, though not much more than an inch or so. That was the second time Naga had taken him off guard and inwardly he berated himself for it. He would need to get used to the big animal being nearby and shoving her face up around him.
"At this point, it has been about three weeks since the bombings," Rex responded as he settled once more and ate another pretzel. "I realize we had injured to take of and a huge mess to clean up, but seriously if we wait much longer, we'll probably get hit again. We can't just sit here like a bunch of targets. So if you decide to test that barrier and want someone to watch your back and help out, I could be game for that."
Though if they did go through with that idea, that meant it was more important than ever that Rex have a certain discussion with Korra. He needed someone to know what he was capable of in case the worst came to pass, as well as what to do about it.
"How much longer are you going to hold off before you try something, anyway?"
