"I'm not asking you to protect me," Rex clarified, expression hardening, his grip on his soda can tightening a fraction. "I'm asking you to protect other people if something does happen. And to do whatever you have to in order to stop me."

There wasn't anything overly dramatic about it, just what he felt needed to be done, stated simply. In the end, the majority always mattered more. That was the bottom line.

"Killing me if I ever lost control was Six's duty, something I didn't find out about until just before I got here. With him not around, though, someone else has to know and be willing to go that far if necessary."
