"I shouldn't say anything, but since you're a Lantern and a friend of Hal's..." His tone of voice is only slightly smug sounding.
Okay, maybe a little more than slightly. Wally will take any excuse to gush about the Flashes... which inevitably leads to bragging about himself.
"You are looking at Kid Flash. Fastest boy alive. Proud partner of the Flash. The fastest man alive." He pauses, and holds up two fingers. "Actually, he's the second Flash, but he's faster than the old Flash. They both kept the name though. Which is kind of confusing? But the old one is pretty much retired." He crosses his arms now.
"I mean, I guess the second one could have still picked a different name, but then I'd have to change my name because it would look like I was the old one's partner and not the new one's, y'know? And that couldn't work because he was active way before I was even born."
At no point does it occur to him that he might be over-thinking or over-explaining this. He wants to make sure that she gets it.
"Or, I could just say it's an homage. Which it already sort of is, but only because their names are the same... Oh! And there's the team, but that's a whole different thing." He nods, satisfied with his answer.
wow Aya I hope you were prepared to hear his life story
