The kind Mundus was fond of also accepted blood offerings, but that was off the table. Dante looked at her with a shocked-yet-impresssed look on his face, and then moved on.
"Well, you can't exactly put a value on the life of a family member." He wasn't the least bit disappointed; Vergil was in there, and now he knows that there are magical barriers. He could work from there. "But I sure as hell know I don't want you pulling a stunt like that again. If I had to guess, that little brute force attempt to get to Vergil is what caused that little scare."
Dante didn't know enough about souls to know just how dangerous this little venture was going to be. Really, that was pretty much all Vergil's fault.
