Dante knows something terrible's going to happen sooner or later, so he's just savoring this little moment of normalcy while he can. As promised, he took a bite himself, but he didn't bother using a fork, instead reaching for an already-cut-up piece. Someone needed to learn some manners decades ago.

"I keep trying to tell you how great humans are. And kedan. Maybe. They're okay." He was upset at this mess at first, but he's over it. Apart from the whole "did you just con my brother?" thing. That still sucks.

"It sounds more like you should take me along instead. I don't actually get out as much, apart from work and all that. Most of the time, I just take what the kedan throw at me and give it to you." Yes, the kedan sometimes tip him in fish. His guitar case sometimes reeks, even by his standards. That's what happens when your currency is too valuable to hand over on a whim.
