Good - that's just how Gene likes it. Living quietly, flying under the radar, being underestimated by everyone. Although he doesn't need it now quite so much as he used to, it's still something that's vaguely comforting to have. It's the life he's used to, and while he doesn't really care to have reminders of that, he'd rather be inconspicuous than the alternative.
