Gene turns away from him, and Tony doesn't know what to make of that. He doesn't know what to say, what to do, how to react to the sudden change in the nature of their relationship. On some level, he'd always known that things would have to fall out this way, but now that they've actually gone through with it, he finds himself unprepared for the emotional backlash.

At least it's better than finding out he's dead.

"Fine," Tony answers Milyn, a little too quickly and a little too sharply. "How long were we out?"
