Tony laughs, and blushes deeper. "Happy Valentine's Day." He takes the flowers and admires them for a few moments. Then he looks back up at Gene. "So are you, um, ready to go to dinner?"

Tony's obviously ready: he's dressed in his best pair of pants and a nice new red shirt (an actual button-up, not just a t-shirt - courtesy of Alayne), and his hair is actually brushed, for once.
