Gene had dressed nicely for this. Well, he usually dresses nicely, or as nicely as he can, but he'd stepped it up just a bit for this date. Black and gold, as was his usual custom, but a very nice tunic all the same.

Dates. Ugh. Ooh. The entire concept still gave him the willies. And this...double-date thing gave him the double-willies. No, more than that. Super-willies. Yes. No. This is stupid.

Gene took a deep breath and tried to force down the anxiety. He'd only been on a couple of Actual Dates with Tony and he still wasn't sure he liked the custom.
