Sonja didn't have 'pets' so much as a menagerie of various exotic and domestic beasts that she had access to on the palace grounds. There were also the numerous Koi ponds, although Sonja had no particular fondness or regard for the affection or intelligence of fish. She generally found pets to be a bother, and most of them had a way of inconveniencing you or pecking/biting/getting you dirty/etc.
Animals were best viewed from the other side of glass, or on the leash of a trainer.
