"Oooooooh," Sokka says in realisation by the sudden lesson. Yeah. He's already doing a bad job of this welcoming thing, isn't he? "Where I'm from, things are... a lot simpler. Then again, only a handful of people even have family names, so you know that those are the people you have to be extra polite to." He shrugs though, seeing as that's neither here nor there. "Call me whatever works for you. Just so long as you forgive me if I mess it up sometimes." Because he's totally going to forget. He's not exactly the most cultured of individuals.
But with the mentioning of Raine, Sokka just gives a long nod. "Yeah, you did good to find Raine early on. She definitely seems one of the more knowledgeable sorts. She's been here longer than me, and she seems to like collecting knowledge for knowledge's sake.
"But... I'm pretty sure there are swords somewhere around here. Then again, it's not like I've gone looking for them since I managed to bring one from my world here.
"Though," Sokka says, segueing into another idea, "that does bring up a rather important point. So... you... might have noticed that sometimes we don't exactly get along with a certain... portion of the kedan." He's trying to waltz gracefully around a few bits, as if walking on eggshells. "It's getting better, a lot better actually, but definitely one of the things you'll come to find is that... some shops will try to rip you off because you're not a kedan. So definitely be on your guard on that."
