Contrast to the others, Jack stepped forward--not trying to get in Angel's space exactly, but not able to let her move away. He even let the fact she used Other Jack's not-name slide, because only Angel knew it anyway and hey, extenuating circumstance.

He'd never hugged his little girl as an adult before. The last time he'd hugged Angel she'd been five years old. She was so tall in comparison.

"This is great," Jack said, grinning wildly and with eyes that were maybe a teeny bit shiny, and not letting her go. "God, Princess, I can barely remember the last time I--life is great."
