[closed] we were tight-knit boys, brothers in more than name

Characters: Hamabros
Date: Backdated to April 3rd, afternoon-eveningish
Location: Midnight Hotel
Situation: Who beat Hiro up it is a mystery ok not really. Takes place after this and this thread, in that order.
Warnings/Rating: Uh...cw: implied/referenced violence against children? Actual violence in that first thread linked up there whups.

[All in all, Hiro's having a better day than before when he gets back to the hotel.

There's still the worry hanging in the back of his mind, wondering how the microbots got here and who's using them; he still glances over his shoulder from time to time looking for things lurking in dark corners, and the terror from last night is still near enough that, at moments, it threatens to brim over for no other reason than because it's too recent and too much., Just, not as much as before. And for right now, he's feeling okay. He spent a few hours exploring the market with Professor Robert Callaghan (still can't believe it, holy shit), picked up a few useful tools and parts he can mess around with, and now he has something he can do to earn money. Surprise, it's not even illegal.

His face still looks terrible, but he's completely forgotten about that. There's a skip in his step and a light grin on his face even so.

He thinks Tadashi's probably still working, or something, so he doesn't think anything of it when he unlocks the door and slips into their shared room with a wrapped paper package of his loot tucked under one arm; he's determined to break it open and probably tinker for a few hours before bed.

Not that anything ever goes according to plan.
