Jade had been happy to camp outside the city. It smelled too much of fear for her to be comfortable there. Now she was starting to be perturbed by the fact that something was clearly causing that fear, and killing people.

Having the mentors from Indigo Cloud would be useful right now. But she could at least poke around the clearings and see what she could learn.
