Gene could have made the tea faster, what with his rings-o'-domestic-chores, but it's easy enough for Pepper to do it. Once the kettle is on the stove, she gets the two mugs ready with tea. It'll be a few minutes before the water boils, so she turns around to look at Gene, leaning against the counter for support.
She's not sure what to say right now. It feels a little awkward, sitting here and just talking to Gene when they're both so upset.
